Hey folks. I was wondering whether you could help me identify what these things I've circled are called? I've been using shower hoses, garden pipes and wardrobe cabinet hinges instead of the proper names.........
A bit of help please guys.

Hi Jeff,
What you've circled in the top picture is braided tubing. Sometimes it shows up as standard tubing that's just reinforced by a braid of another material, a la: https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item. ... &catid=736.

The second image is some sort of hydraulic cylinder. But it's important to keep in mind that the art of manipulating is all smoke and mirrors, and that as long as you think it works it's good, despite not using actual pictures of what it's representing.

Nice one chaps. Thank you for speedy response.
Yep that'c certainly true Faceoff. Was thinking that it couldn't hurt to get the actual names though, just to increase my photoshop vocabulary so to speak.it's important to keep in mind that the art of manipulating is all smoke and mirrors, and that as long as you think it works it's good, despite not using actual pictures of what it's representing.
