Maximum facepalm. Wholly unoriginal ... checked the website (read: Cyborg Suniverse, much like Pen Island ...) and it's basically "artificial intelligence is bad so we need to kill it." To answer your question, I guess both ... the robots are bad, so we need cyborgs to stop them. No special effects in the trailer (as far as insides of robots) so maybe they get shot with a magical disable ray and fall down, or, the best we can hope for is the "whack the robots with an umbrella and they disappear in a puff of smoke" a la (*spoilers*) moon men in A Trip to the Moon (Georges Méliès, 1902) ...
