I think it is a little too clean.
there is no mangling of any short.
Well inserted? Yes.
But too clean to suggest damage.
Looks more like girl was subject to insane transformation and lost her mind.

I think is a good job. I would have used picture for a malfunction theme though.
The model screams for it.

It's the font and the color - dark blue most of all doesn't pop out at all. I think you should use bright colors, then give them a dark and diffuse outline (I myself use gaussian blur on a blackened version of the text). Also, you should check for anti-aliasing on your text, the characters can get messy when they're in a small font.
