Borg Invasion 4-D
Came across mention of a new attraction in Las Vegas, and perhaps elsewhere, called Borg Invasion 4-D. Check http://www.startrek.com for more info.

a long way away
Sounds quite fascinating I must admit. However I am rather a long way from Las Vegas so hopefully in time it might come to London.Only trouble with me is that I might not want my assimilation into Borg life to only be temporary!Mind it mentions probes and things against the back, wonder if there is any yet designed to probe the mind, wicked grin!
I'm just a 'girl' who wants to become a fembot whats wrong with that?

Nice to see they're adding a couple more token females. I understand the whole insect analogy, with a single queen and all-male drones, and I understand that the big men in the Borg suits are probably scarier, but especially in the STNG film I thought women being assimilated were highly underrepresented. We saw a couple getting led into the room and one getting an eyepiece put in, but after that it was always the same half-dozen 6'5" guys in Borg suits stomping around the ship.

That scene was awesome. One of the best conversion montages available. I only wish there was more of it, but still the 30 seconds or so of it that progress from human to borg are cinematic bliss.keraptis wrote:Nice to see they're adding a couple more token females. HOWDY! --i didn't read that post from the link...it just wasn't working correctly for me.....but if I can MAKE A SCHOLARLY GUESS, it's a new entry in the STAR TREK EXPERIENCE at one of the big casinos on the strip ....I went to Vegas last year, and there is a casino that has part of it's space deditcated to a STAR TREK TNG museum, and RIDE ATTRACTION ...it's $12 to look at the stuff, meet some folks dressed up in full Klingon garb, and some techies.....the displays are quite nice....and then you go into the ride......it's basically one of those 'WATCH THE MOVIE AS A HYDROLIC BLEECHER BOBS YOU UP AND DOWN A LOT" things.... all thoughout UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, and most new DISNEY RIDES .... with the STARTREK thing....if you're in a big chair, and they want to fake ASSIMILATION....I think it'll just be a quick vibration that runs up your spine and vibrates fully by your headset while you're listening to the soundtrack....be that as it may, it'll still be fun to see......and I'll be going back to Vegas most likely this year to check it out. ---minkwheel

And a big yawn, if you ask me (the Alien Invasion, not the Star Trek Experience)...ButchyBoy wrote:if it's anything like ALIEN INVASION at Disney World, it will be lots of darkness, and lil plastic pokey things that come out ot the seat to stick ya in the neck (ouch)
I was subject to this drivel about 10 years ago...has it changed much?
To add to Mink's observation:
The Las Vegas Hilton is the one where the Star Trek Experience is. A friend of mine went there a few years ago...
...and brought me back a damn napkin...

Oh, well...I shouldn't complain TOO LOUDLY...I'M NOT BITTER, DAMMIT, JIM!
Had another friend go there sometime after that, and told me about the Warp Core Breach drink they serve there (at $10 a pop...)
He said it turned his urine blue...
I asked him why he didn't bring one for me...
