Trying to think of 2 movie titles

I'm trying to remember the name of 2 movies from years ago.

The first one has some guy who looks like medusa, and in the scene he's in a virtual world with some other guy who doesn't believe he's a machine until the first guy rips open his arm and shows him.

The second movie, a guy and girl are laying on some grass I believe, and he opens his jacket to reveal he's not totally human and she sticks her fingers inside a hole in his chest in disbelief.

Sorry for being so vague, any ideas?

I don't think it was. This would have been the 90s when I saw it, so it would have been something either on cable (or hbo/showtime), or on VHS.
