OK, this one isn't exactly about robots, but Anne Hathaway -- the girl who did a pretty decent robot dance at the end of The Princess Diaries -- is in a new movie called Ella Enchanted. It's a campy fairy-tale movie in which her character, Ella, is under a spell that makes her "the most obedient girl in the kingdom." You can see the trailer here:

Anyway, she isn't a robot but some of her moves are quite stiff.

Quite an interesting spell though,and lets face it neurally you would be little more than a robot.Hmm,anyone know how to cast that spell!

.....Actually....in my LIVEWIRE WITH BUFFYBOT segmented so called "stories"---in the very near future, the evil 'CARL'S JUNIOR" will be attempting to do that very thing, using media and clothing...... but you DIDN'T HEAR IT FROM ME!!!!! ---minkwheel

Okay, I still haven't seen the movie, but I read half of Ella Enchanted the book, and wow - if you like control the way I do (and can ignore that it's a fifteen-year-old girl being controlled), you should read it. Almost every page she's forced to do something else. Some people order her to do things without knowing she's forced to obey. Some people give her orders knowingly because they're for her own good. One character figured it out and likes to torment her by giving her orders.

It amazes me nobody's written a fanfic story where she's still got the curse when she finishes growing up. It is a children's book, but look at how much sexual Harry Potter fanfic is out there (no, I don't read or write it, but I know folks who do).
