Conversion Stories Query

Hey everybody,

Hope you're all well. So I have a plot for a conversion story in my mind that I'm looking to get in writing however some issues catch my mind. I know this is fantasy the detail of it brings it to life.
Regarding conversions, what is it about for you?

1) Mechanical and electronic interventions in an organic body in order to turn a former normal person into a robot? The thing with this one is there are obviously some gory considerations and the fact that you're dealing with organic matter and flesh still.

2) Human mind to robot body. You know how this goes, transfer someones mind to an artificial body, willingly or unwillingly.

3) Use devices such as chips or nanobots to control the behavior of an organic into a robot but sticking with the whole organic body. Perhaps more MC than conversion.

My question is which one of these or one I haven't listed is your take on it? Or all these valid and the thrill is how you make them stick in a story? Looking forward to hearing back!

#3 is not a robot, one of the things that pisses me off about the robots category in the Clips4Sale site in my opinion.

#1 is also a bit gory.

That's why I stick with #2 in my stories. To me, this combines the built aspect with the conversion process...placing a human mind into a brand new, spiffy robot body.

I've done both the first 2 in my time, a number of times. 1, I tend to ignore the gore, and lets face it, if you use nanobots, and the like, then that organic matter just literally gets turned into cybernetic material, anyway.
I actually love the idea of having 2 done to me, mainly because I'm middle aged, transgendered, and I get a young, cute, female body this way!

3, have done, but I must admit, part of the kick for me is the true robot body, so...no real interest

Conversion robots really aren't my thing. At all.
But I'm firmly in the "If its an organic being under mind control it's not a robot!" camp, so #3 doesn't count as a robot, in my book.
Like Spaz, I too find it annoying to have to sift through mind control content, when I just want some good robotic action.
Then again my ideal version of fembots are a bit tame I suppose. Sleeper-style mechanical robots, where the perceived intelligence and personality of said machine are a programmed illusion.

I like the idea of someone has her or his body converted first, and then her or his mind tries to react to the new situation. How the conversion is done in detail, I prefer consent and slow ongoing, or no awareness of it. And the perspective of the person whose body is changed. The amount of gore is fairly limited for me because of that.

There's one, human brain into a robot body, or human brain controls other electronic devices like servers or machines, kinda prefer this one.
But it's also kinda fragile and fatal, once the robotic body fails, compromises the brain.

By the way, I prefer to defeat a certain villian with method 3.
