I did hear about "Turbo Kid" when it came out, and it looked like a fun movie, but I had no idea it would make an appearance on this site! Now it'll probably end up being one of my favourite movies (I'm going to wait to at least get it on DVD).

Long time, no post.

A sort of ASFRish image search turned up a link to 10 year old message board which had this other really interesting image of an ad for a Thai TV series with a pretty cute woman with half a robot face. After learning some bits of the Thai alphabet, working out it was broadcast on "Channel 3" in about 2006,I finally found it all posted as a play list on youtube

I don't think anyone has posted this treasure trove before.

I have little idea of what the full story is. The woman is some sort of hologram Weird Science type "came out of the computer" to meet the guy who found her or made her or she's a copy of a real woman or something. But this is not a GINO, she follows a lot of the robot tropes, usually smiling, not blinking much, slightly stiff walk, sort of monotone, etc. She malfunctions when she gets wet. She gets some sort of job I think with a wedding planning company. Some evil hacker guy works out how to sort of control her or derez her or something. Hijinks ensue. Makes her arm temporarily disappear in a meeting, freezes her, jerky walk, almost deletes her. etc. She is vulnerable to rain and there are at least 3 episodes where she gets rained on. She gets hit by lightning and "drowns", etc.

I don't think she's actually a eletromechanical robot, so no open panels or "repair" scenes exactly, though she does have half her face as robotic or derezzed a few times, Episode 4 I think. I think it was a real prosthetic.

13 episodes, fairly good "robot action" in about half, though she acts robotic in all. Though I just scanned through all the eps, not full viewing.

The other key thing is the actress is totally hot. New entry in my personal Top 5 hottest gynoids, but I am baised to Asians.

Bad points are we don't know what anyone is saying, and the youtube quality is not very good.

I will try putting a little more effort to finding better quality, but I'm a Japan specialist, not Thai. Hopes not high.

Given the snippet quote, this isn't really gynoid content, technically. But it's about a super-cute-by-my-eye artificial being of sorts. Given the dopey-comedy tone of the show, I think I'm kind of glad I can't understand Thai. The first episode introduces her–by my guess, a SIMS-like computer game/chatbot that, through some kind of power fluctuation, materializes in physical form, and after a lightning strike, gets to be somewhat permanent (and that's kind of the level of sci-fi of the show, so don't get any kind of hopes up). In the first parts of the first episode, she doesn't have clothes, but is either concealed, or really briefly shown to have a unitard/sexless appearance–although the extremely low-res footage makes it hard to tell.

If you think she's attractive, then look for scenes where she does things you think are hot. But if she's just okay, there's nothing that's particularly excellent.

That is as good as the robotic bits get ... an incredibly cheap eyepatch metal skull kind of effect. And it's pretty much just in that episode.
