A while back, an anime came out on VHS called Space Firebird.

One of the two main characters was a female robot named Olga.

She did have a remote and when you pushed some of the buttons, she turned into other things: small jet, small car, etc. If you hit the top button, she became a carrying case and shut down.

Yes....this was TEZUKA OSAMU's "PHEONIX 2772" --what you saw is an Austrailian dub.......I was surprised that they left in the 'love scene between "Olga" and "Godo"........oh well....a kid's gotta learn how to love his fellow gynoid, now....doesn't he? --minkwheel
