Hey, I've started an IRC channel for fembot-related discussion. IRC offers some anonymity for these for whom it's important, it's easy to start a new channel and conversation, and roleplays and the like can be carried in private.

Hmm, I miss you guys. Lurking a lot of time there, nobody's coming. Talked a bit with Battery when he was there, a bit with ISAF and that was it. I'm still looking forward but if nobody's coming, I'd say, this recent attempt to establish a FC chatroom has ... failed again.

Huh? What's the problem, Brytestar?

You click the link, it opens up a heavily Javascript-driven website at kiwiirc, which IS the web-based IRC client. Directly connected to the FC channel. You see a panel requesting you to enter a screen name. Do so, and ENTER.

If you have some script blocker or similar installed in your browser, you have to whitelist kiwiirc.com. With Firefox+"Noscript", that's one additional click. No strings attached.

The nick cannot start with a digit. That's a limitation of the IRC protocol, I think.

You can choose any other nick you want, prefix it with _ or similar.

Well, interest on the IRC has again, ... diminished. Battery was there, as often, and we got OT very very soon. And today we have the mysterious 'wlw' who tries to unnerve our housesitter, Girlbot7000, by doing ... nothing. Good luck with that, wlw.

The reason why I write that? Because last week we had a day when the chat was really interesting, delightful. When some people came there and talked.

It's real good, we're having some great discussions. The main problem is that since we're so spread out on different timezones, only a few people are awake and connected at the same time, and you can't catch the conversations that happened before you log in. But don't let this die!

There are mobile irc clients you can use, but none that have been decent imho.

And yeah, i try to swing by when i can.
