Now that I'm about ready to release Gynoid Conversion 038 beta, I'll be working more on the game engine and first scenario or two for Harry's.

Here's the writeup:

My next game will be "Harry's Household Robot Repair", where the player stars as Harry (Harold or Harriet), the owner / lead tech. of a mobile robot repair service. Player and NPC TFs will be possible, using either a narrative (story) or infection (by body part, like "Gynoid Conversion") based system... and the two types will be able to interact and support each other.

I'm working on the setting / basic story at the moment, once I have those set, I'll build the basic setting / city, and set up a few stories. The game will be designed to be modular, new stories / TFs / settings can be added at compile time. It will also be designed to allow others to create add-ons for it, like the region system in "Gynoid Conversion" but more capable.

Most likely, it will be written in Inform 7 using the GLIMMR extensions, but possibly without the automap as it seems to add overhead to the game.

I've worked up some of the anthro robot characters for the game, and posted them on my dA and FA accounts, here's a compilation page of all six so far: http://nukunookee.deviantart.com/art/Si ... -468345486

Zor's Gynoids might make an appearance later in the new game, though they probably won't be included to start with.

I've done some more test renders for the game, though they're likely to change a bit. These were done just to test character rigging and morphs:

Since someone asked, and I was in a generous mood, here's some of the possible scenarios. The first one is probably closest to being completely written, others vary in completion. Not all will make it into the game... you'll have to wait and see. Possible spoilers!
  • You are working on a 'bot in your shop, and there's a sudden flash. When you wake up, your assistant repair bot is standing over you, and you realize you're lying on one of the repair tables... and your right hand feels... odd. (J.A.C.K scenario, http://nukunookee.deviantart.com/art/J-A-C-K-483394874 and http://nukunookee.deviantart.com/art/J- ... -483613987 ).

    You go on a routine field call to a Chinese chain restaurant famous for their red panda fembot wait staff... and discover that the human shift manager, half of the kitchen staff, and a few patrons are sprouting suspicious looking ears... and tails.

    You lose your business, and take a low paying maintenance job at a furry (or humanoid) sexbot brothel. At least the room and board are free, but the food tastes funny....

    A 'bot factory is leaking industrial waste, and you're called in as the 'bots on staff are starting to change... and human staff is disappearing. Is it a coincidence that animals have been disappearing from the zoo next door?

    A farm 'bot controller places a trouble call, and you arrive to find there are more bots registered to the system than there should be. A slight whirring sound behind you makes you turn, just before the world goes black...

    You get a call from the automated 'bot maintenance system at a large private estate, and when you arrive to replenish the maintenance stores, you discover why....

    The police K-9 bots are suddenly mating with the regular K-9s, and no one knows why....
That's just a few. But not all.

I also wanted to mention, there will be an option to exclude anthropomorphic (furry) content, and some of the scenarios will have two versions, one strictly humanoid, the other anthro.

The brothel scenario, for example, may have more than one that you can go to work at, and your choice of employer and choices made while working will change the outcome.

Some scenarios will even have options that are dehumanizing / roboticizing, without android/gynoid results... :devil:

I don't think furry content is so bad to have a killswitch for it but having it everywhere somehow ruins the effect for me. It feels like I'm attending The Muppets Show. :P

Since the scenarios will be modular, it will be easy enough to add an option for disabling the furry ones, to prevent inadvertently stumbling into one. :mrgreen:
