The report states the story "centers on a billionaire programmer who handpicks a young employee to spend a week at his remote estate and participate in a test involving his latest invention: an artificially intelligent female robot."

There's a video on the FTP, a now-ancient version of a similar story.gyn2010 wrote: the story "centers on a billionaire programmer who handpicks a young employee to spend a week at his remote estate and participate in a test involving his latest invention: an artificially intelligent female robot."

Re: "Ex machina"
This looks so damn good! But it's very strange for me, because I know Oscar. I had no idea he was doing this movie, I wish I knew sooner! I loved 28 Days Later and a fembot sexual sci-fi thriller seems too damn perfect of a project for him to direct. This is definitely going to be a great movie!

Re: "Ex machina"
This is most likely going to be shown at my neighborhood's "arthouse" theater. Having said that, You'll able to easily spot me there: I'll be the one guy, sitting awkwardly, slightly in pain, trying to hide his raging boner from view.

@Trace Venom: I have a feeling you won't be alone completely, but possibly more often and at least you'll be expecting it. The visuals of an attractive female in tight, form fitting clothes will do it for many hetero males, even with those with no interest in ASFR. Of course there will be a couple that may actually be "turned off" (sadly) by the machine aspect, but I suspect this is a vocal minority.

Re: "Ex machina"
All trailers and clips focus on Ava but I think there will be some nice action featuring second fembot.

Re: "Ex machina"
Hmmm... I wonder if a second fembot will be a source of tension. Which one was first? Do they compete or cooperate? Or is one significantly more advanced than the other?

Re: "Ex machina"
Today has reported an ex machina.
It really fucking great movie
I know that the United States, scheduled for release in March will be very hard to wait until then.
Korea has to date been released on January 21 reported today.
I was very fantastic movie about hair buzzed cheat.
If it should ever come here without missing people.

With the help of good pirates, we should have it in the FTP before long.toysher wrote:I know that the United States, scheduled for release in March will be very hard to wait until then.

Re: "Ex machina"
It seems to be a hit with the critics in the U.K., and, as far as I understand, they're a pretty tough crowd. I really won't be able to wait until April to see this in the theater, so hopefully the FTP will acquire a copy soon
. I also hope that the buzz grows loud enough that the movie starts to track well with audiences in the U.S. motivating whoever has the distribution rights to move up the U.S. release date to a sooner date.

Re: "Ex machina"
I'm giving the pirates time to find a copy, by screwing up the FTP's configuration file somewhere way down at the UNIX level. Sigh.
I don't suspect that there's anyone around here with fluency in that sort of thing; so it's probably going to come down to reinstalling the operating system.
Or this flash of memory will break through, and I'll get lucky it's something easy.

Re: "Ex machina"
Is it scheduled for a wide release in the US? Or is this just a limited, indie-theater only kinda deal?

Another positive review at Cinema Parrot Disco (little to nothing about fembot content, though).

Re: "Ex machina"
In Korea, the theater was over already opened.
However, the streaming service over the Internet not start using it several times seen again. The shares can also be downloaded and viewed it is not. Because this method is not distributed with DRM.
ps. oh god... screen capture disable... FU** DRM!!

Re: "Ex machina"
I just saw in the latest trailer that it's rated R for "graphic nudity, language, sexual references, and some violence." Graphic nudity: hooray. (I feel like I'm 18 again saying that ...)

Re: "Ex machina"
Based on what I've read on the Wikipedia page, we at least get to see the Japanese android, Kimiko, naked.

That's EXACTLY how I feel about that.jolshefsky wrote:I just saw in the latest trailer that it's rated R for "graphic nudity, language, sexual references, and some violence." Graphic nudity: hooray. (I feel like I'm 18 again saying that ...)

Sidenote: I thought It was going to be awkward just going to the cinema to watch this with friends, but now that I've (very recently) started seeing someone, that post-movie-date conversation about Ex-Machina might be double-plus-awkward (Or not! I hope...).

I was at the theatre to see CHAPPiE tonight. There were displays for Ex-Machina in the lobby. So it looks like it might be in some theatres this year.
