Bad move. Anyone got a link of the original piece so we can report this?

"If the time should ever come when what is now called science, thus familiarized to men, shall be ready to put on, as it were, a form of flesh and blood, the Poet will lend his divine spirit to aid the transfiguration, and will welcome the Being thus produced, as a dear and genuine inmate of the household of man."

I don't think that's an act of plagiarizing, for me it's more like ... uh...
Lack of vocabulary I can't tell this in English, I say it in Chinese...

It could be a drawing exercise. They are important and valid, but when the student signs, how are we to know whether he's claiming credit for original work, or for having successfully completed his lesson? If selected for a lesson, Body's art was chosen out of respect, a measure of its worth to the student.

And that's why it's so important to state that it's a trace / exercise, and give credit where credit is due. Rather than hide behind the educational loophole.
A good number of successful commercial artists (book covers, fashion photogs, album designers and illustrators) are found via DeviantArt. If people are copying or stealing, the lawyers get to make all sorts of money.

Nah, they need a name and a number first. A lawyer is a gangster who blackmails smaller gangsters.33cl33 wrote:If people are copying or stealing, the lawyers get to make all sorts of money.
It's most times just better not to be seen, as it's hardly possible to do anything without breaking a law (if you ask your own legal adviser).
So be nice and give tribute to nice people, but stay away from the nasty ones at the same time.
(Ah, and speaking for law, when you draw it yourself, it's your own work. It may be plagiarism but this is something nobody with any brains is after because filing a law suit against plagiarism is a lengthy process and costs tons of money and you gain nothing if the plagiator has a low income - likely on people drawing cartoons

Re: Somebody's passing body's art as his own
my opinion
It is not a problem to drawing exercise
It can be any method (include trace)
but,It is a thief to sign a copy pic
The signature shows own work
An exercise is an exercise
Trace picture is only copy, only exercise, not original
The matter is simple
