The videos are awesome and so is the impulse to port them to the Wiki, but the quality could be far better.
For the .gifs I made, I used the Video DownloadHelper plugin for FireFox if the video is on Youtube or Dailymotion, or otherwise searched for a good torrent. Once I had the file on my hard drive, I used the Free Video to GIF Converter freeware.
Now, it might all sound like product placement and bragging, but look at the result. I know that it might come out as overcomplicated to some or primitive to others (just thinking about getting Photoshop running makes me anxious), but it's a start.
