That did seem a tad dickish, but given the off-the-cuff, stream of consciousness tone in which the script is written I don't think there was all that much hostility behind it.

The perversity of technosexuals is ornate and elaborate.

We have yet to see a dramatic lead character (the kind from out of our imaginations) crystallize the features of our fetish in the minds of adult Netflix/On Demand viewers. Give us our Dracula, and I bet everyone will agree our genre has the broadest narrative potential.

LotR, Star Wars and other franchises do have a lot of lore and backstory - but where were hobbits and space operas before Tolkien and Lucas invigorated their dormant potential? LotR and Star Wars had very little kink to work with, 'cause kink was never J.R.R. or George's bag. Wonder Woman's just about the only fleshed-out female character in the world of superheros whom the masses have seen, and who then has fetish porn made about her.

We're a broader canvas than vampires. A vampire with a personality can't be created from inert materials, but a fembot can be built; or the fembot can be a woman taken, utterly possessed by her maker. Either way, the maker is alive, and not undead - much nicer.

Not to be the screen door on the submarine, so to speak - but screenplays are never written with that sort of off-the-cuff language. And they never reference the audience like that... That would be wasted page real estate.

Perhaps an early, meant-to-be-private draft, but something used during production would never be worded like that.

Not saying we won't see fembots (they'd be idiots not to include them) - but I wouldn't place much weight on this 'leaked' script.

If I'm wrong - yay for us perverts!

Looks very promising. JJ Abrahms already had a hot female shapeshifter robot in Fringe.

The pilot shows only male robots, but it would be very odd to have so many male androids and *no* female ones.

My guess is that they will be introduced as part of plots later.

The female shapeshifter was not the same type as the robots in the early seasons of the show. They were fully human, or at least organic, and the producers were a lot more vague about what made them tick and how they were made than with the the original models.

She still had superhuman speed and strength, and assuming she was created synthetically, she'd probably fit on the edge of my fembot spectrum. But by no means everybody's.

I get the impression (sad face) that JJ is put off by female robots. He's had a lot of chances, and even with the original Fringe shapeshifter storyline, I was expecting at least one lady shapeshifter and it never happened. So I'm not getting my hopes up too high for this new show.
