A stupid question maybe...
Do we have a con/(s)expo/physical world event yet that anyone can think of? Everyone else does, yeah?

Not that I can think of! There are some fetish cons where major producers appear (Evangeline, Ashley Fires), but nothing specifically for us.

Yeah, I didn't think so... thanks. I don't know about you, but I feel slighted...

I certainly do! I think we have a large enough number to justify a convention. If a long-forgotten television show like "Space: 1999" can have a yearly gathering of its fans, than robots, androids, fembots, and gynoids--along with their enthusiasts--should merit one as well.

Re: A stupid question maybe...
The brutal truth is that conventions can basically follow one of two paths:
1. The convention is largely sustained by a pool of dedicated vendors, each of which is dedicated to providing merchandise related to the convention topic. In the case of Space 1999, this means videos, documentaries, toys, games, and the more broadly popular merchandise associated with Gerry Anderson's more popular shows. There is enough of a fanbase to throw some weight around when it comes to finding a venue, and members of the fan group tend to be extremely public about their love for whatever it is. Lastly, such events will frequently see a fair share of "walk ins": Casual fans in the area who decide to check it out on a whim.
2. The opposite of all of the above.
Arranging a convention of the first type is extraordinarily difficult. Arranging one of the second type is an act of purest masochism.
We don't have any vendors who sell physical merchandise which could be sold at such a convention: Not that the merchandise doesn't exist, but that little of it is in physical form, and no business is currently dedicated to catering specifically to fembot-related physical merchandise. Even if every registered member of this board attended such a convention, it would be a pretty small affair. Unless the admission price were extremely high, venues would be rightly skeptical of our ability to put on a worthwhile convention - and many of the potential venues would reject us out of hand based purely on the nature of the group. Technosexuals who openly and publicly declare their tastes are rare.
It would't be impossible, but it would certainly feel like it.

Re: A stupid question maybe...
Brutal. Your sound materialist evaluation of the unlikelihood of a TechnoSexpo has dashed my hopes for economic-based normalization of technosexuality and an in-your-face campaign to add an extra "T" to the Queer movement's alphabet soup...
I will just have to find solace in the increasing likelihood that thirty years from now everyone will have a sexbot. Reigning in expectations, any one think there's any likelihood of a technosexuality booth (sales, informational, etc.) ever making an appearance at a standard sex convention?

Take heart. At a certain point in market saturation, sexbots will represent enough of a distinct product category that they'll spin off from the Adult Entertainment Expo in much the same way that AEE spun off from CES.
