Researchers at the CRNS-AIST Joint Robotics Laboratory, are working on ways to control robots via thought alone.

From the video: "Basically we would like to create devices which would allow people to feel embodied, in the body of a humanoid robot. To do so we are trying to develop techniques from Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) so that we can read the peoples thoughts and then try to see how far we can go from interpreting brain waves signals, to transform them into actions to be done by the robot."

That is research I'd love to help out with.

Maybe I could then develop a way to control the robot, to control me lol!

nothing wrong with the idea to become a robot!! they have a super computer now which works on nano technology with computing power which already
is far in excess of any computer on the market today. the pionier work has already been done, they also
are working on the transfer human mind into a robot body.. this has been experimented on.
they have been building an android, robot which can be used , like in the Bruce willis film, Suragates..
this was fiction a few years ago, but from what i have read, they have actually been able to do it.
the robot, which does not look very much like the kind of android, we might like to see, is mostly
just like a kind of C3P0 .. it's not very attractive, but it does the job,
feelings and movements are transfered to the robot body, and even the other way round
the secret is this has allready been done.
nano computer is made of Atoms, with electrons, which are either On- or Off, like the binary code,
thus able to store a memory, used like a hard disc. they use a substance with a cristal like structure
it has been done in a lab . so you can bet they have a full scale working computer since 2000 .
what we can't have is this technology comming out too soon, because it makes every laptop, tablet, computer adroid device
obsoliet . they want to get us to buy all this old stuff first.
but in the mission to mars, they are already using this techology to have a robot that can Think for itself.

to be sure they have been working on the idea, since before 1998, i have a book about it . showing a photo, so for the use of robots in future
for many things.. like in a reactor where there is Radiation ect..
the two main ways from what i can gather are the long distance controle wirlessly over any distance
such as controle of a satalite, a drone aircraft, and the mars rover,
on board the ISS space station they have a robot which can be controlled by NASSA from the ground.
it may seem like science fiction, but they already have the technology.
ps, they have been working transfer human mind into a robot.
because there are many , who have enough money to pay for this, they think it will make them live forever
and will never get sick or die. but in real life, there is no Proof that it's been done.

If you think about it, C3P0 is pretty much just the male equivalent to Maria/Hel in Metropolis anyway. Its just that he is made of more modern material, thats all. And doesnt change his look either, much to my approval. And for some of us at least, not into the sex side of things, that holds more appeal than you think!

Nothing I would love more than having my mind transferred into a robot body, so if they need a volunteer sometime, they should let me know. Cant imagine there are too many of us around who would love to spend their time within a robot shell, so...
