Are we losing hope?

Post by hyperspace51 » Sun Dec 04, 2011 11:48 pm

Hey all! I have been looking at this sight for quite a while now and have noticed a humongous decline in story production and manip creation lately. Is it just me, or is it that this site is kinda loosing its flavor? I love this site alot and I check it quite frequently, and i would hate to see its purpose dissapear. Is it because members are afraid to write stories, or they are afraid of posting images? I want this site to continue its remarkable purpose, which is to provide a safe and fun haven for those like me, who love this kind of genre and theme.

I think a lot of the images go direct to the gallery at Fembotwiki nowadays to be honest.

The story thing, if its anything like me, its probably a time issue, especially at this time of year

Yeah, not to mention this is a time of year that's busy for people with work, school, or what have you.

I do what I can... but I am really ultra busy all the time. Not only do i have real life stuff to deal with, but I have several art projects to work on, school stuff to do, holiday things to finish, other members I am helping out, and several stories of my own. I would love to see the site more active, but I just don't know if it was more active than this in the past or not.

I'm just biding my time till the first "real" fembots appear in 15-20 years...

There does seem to be a bit of a low at the moment (though there are a few great stories running and a drip feed of images - I don't want to seem negative!) I've been around for 10 years or so and the activity levels seem to cycle so I'm sure things will pick up again.

I'd love to do more myself and will do when real life allows...

hyper - you can always write something yourself...?! The best catalyst for writing is reading so maybe your story will spark off some new activity...?

Many of my stories tend to be based in a younger demographic, since I am *part* of that younger demographic, and therefore not appropriate to post here. Plus, I've had malfuntion issues, as well as responsibilities with various charities that have kept me out of the writing game lately. I hope to have something completed early in the new year! *fingers crossed* Feel free to yell out suggestions, but chances are I have the main part of my story already in my head and probably won't need anything extra, but you never know! :)

It seems like hope is a very relative thing.

This linke shows some fairly simple robots designed to be able to work efficiently with humans.

"Kawada has a similar platform for researching human-robot interaction called HIRO. The HRP series, of which Nextage is a part, has more than 20 humanoid bots at major research institutions." - EI, Automation specialists are actively researching on systems to allow robots to respond to human cues for movement and interaction. I hope you can imagine where that might lead...

Also, once a system like this starts making money, the amount of resources that will be devoted to human-robot interaction will increase significantly and so the quality may then make a further quantum leap... And then there will likely be a lag before all this is taken up by the adult industry but still, it seems to me like the reasons for hope are only increasing... But still, it will likely be around a decade before the products really appear...

About 90% of the stories posted here generally don't appeal to me anyway...

The thing is, stories posted here are unlikely to appeal to everyone, due to the wide spectrum of members that we have.

In a sense, being a transformation fan, I'm inclined to agree with you, but there is always the thing of doing what I used to do, write your own stuff, and post it here. Its amazing how sometimes an idea will gather momentum if someone starts the ball rolling.
I've ran out of fresh ideas for rb stories, also lack for writing time nowadays, so dont look at me. Working on something else, not robot related, and its making slow progress due to lack of time to do anything with it

Well I've considered a story to post here but I'm still working out the premise and such.
