Well, I seen a few episodes here and there, what happen's is that the dead wife is not dead, and still alive and comes back to the husband. Finding out he made a robot duplicate of her freaks her out, of course and want the robot destroyed. The robot wanting to stay alive, plans to get rid of her. The maker, stuck between both them, manage to make them becomes friends and all live together for now. Last episode I seen, at the end of the episode, both the women hugs and ageed to be friends, but you see the robot making an evil smirk, of course, planning to get rid of the real wife. (that was last week around.)

For me this is a big YES and I think the show is really underestimated here:
The work of the actress that play the robot is absolutely remarkable

On this link you have all the "Naomi robot" scenes since the beginning of the show

http://mordeeassopra.globo.com/personag ... as/1488111

In regards of the quantity (almost 2 hour of quality fembot acting) I think this show is one of the best for us since a long time, unfortunatly these scenes are lost in an 140 chapters show, and except for the fembot part the show is really long and really boring.

Concerning open panels, there is 4 or 5 open panel in the whole show (2 in head) (3 in her back) but this is not the main quality of the show. I think that for once we have an actress (really hot) that is really convincing in a fembot role, and that understand how to look artificial without changing the show in a kind of silly joke. For me the good point is that you have blank looks and unatural movement in every scene she is in, but never too much.

Last point, even if I don't understand portugese, to story is really easy to understand, I like specially the fact she start, almost uncapable of thinking, talking and walking, and that she learn all of that during the first part of the show. The fembot is really a positive character for this first part. At the end of the show with the return of the real wife, things get really complicated for her: first point the real wife is absolutly awfull with her, second point there is an other women in the house, I don't really understand what she want but she manipulate her (not really hard to do), after a serie of poor choice the fembot situation become almost impossible, finally she attack the real wife and she is shut down with her AI removed.
Apparently she is not destroyed and she is still in the lab she migh come back later in the show (the current saison is not over yet - but I think that her narrative arc is probably (and sadly) over.

I could see the value in a fan-edit, stringing together all of her fine parts.
A Brazilian fan may already have had this idea - or FC members could take on the job (if we had the torrents).

I imagine there could be subtitles,
or a Niteflirt voice actress to hire for a bit of dubbing.

Well, I can do that, I can put together the best part, with the quantity of material I think I can assemble a coherent story, I can even write subtitles (not fully based on what they are really saying, but who care nobody really understand portugese...

I think I can do most of the work but I will need the community help on two things:

Fist, for the subtitles I can write them but in the end I need sombody to correct the spelling and grammar because english is not my mother tongue
Then for uplaoding it, it is a problem for me, I already try to make a first part of the story compiling the best scene in the beginning, I have a good quality 70 Mo AVI file it can be smaller but I don't want to loose the quality. I think that the final version of such a work compiling everything would be around 700 Mo, So how can I upload it ?

I would be among many here who would want to help.

If you send it to a service like Rapidshare, Wupload, Filesonic, then anyone from here could access it.
Someone here might have a premium account to offer help. I download much through these services,
but my uploads are aimed at one person - I think there are different restrictions on files with many downloaders.

The movie might have to be split into pieces.
They could be separate AVIs, or RAR segments of one whole movie (probably better).
Of course, I'll put it up on the Stepfordworld FTP.

Or: mail me a memory stick, or DVD (through the actual, non-e-, mail).

Not necromancy, but has there been any further updates on this show?

It had a few good scenes, and I am interested in uploading them to the wiki.

Well, I just checked and it looks like the Soap Opera ended on October 14, 2011.

I'm going to try and see if I can acquire the episodes somehow...

I have a bunch of them, but no subtitles. You have to sit through a LOT of crap to find the good scenes.

You mean actual files?

Could you upload them to the ftp so I can take screencaps from them?

When the series aired the episodes became available on the Globo TV network's website. A year and a half later I only see short snippet videos posted there. I think the series ran for 6 months and was on 5 or 6 days a week, so you do the math on how many episodes there are. At least 100. If I have time I'll scan through what I have and try to compile the good scenes.

I have noticed on their main web site, on that characters page, it highlights each episode she was featured in. That may allow you to narrow your search.

Thanks, I'll take a look...though based on what I have seen, this playlist has lower quality videos than the other site I have seen.

Yeah, that was the last episode I think. She runs off with the gardener and they live happily ever after, until her battery runs out.
