I think you are onto something here.
As words with 'K' sounds are funny, you've offered the -tch and -dg- phonemes.
They both come close to a 'jeh', 'jih' or 'djih'.

That's one of the "don't care" names of the girl in the "Earthbound" RPG. I'd liked it better than the default "Paula" however now I can't get any sexy picture into my brain regarding this name any more.
