I don't have any photos floting around, but my months are finished and as are my friend Liz's. So four months down! I'm hoping to have it done around Nov. 1

Ah that's too bad, I'm sure I speak for most when I say that its sad to have to wait to see such lovely machines reveal their true nature, but good thing come to those who wait.

Th one thing I'd suggest is to make sure all the photoshop work is top notch! I always hated a bad manip where it is all to obvious that it is faked. I've seen some really good ones around, and lots of bad ones too. One cool thing to do is prepare for the manipulation before taking the picture. Have something drawn on the body where a panel will go to allow for proper perspective, use several people to get spare parts (like arms and legs) and make sure you photograph them in the exact same light as the final image, also, photograph the background from the same angle and with the same lighting without the actors/actresses so that you can remove items easily in photoshop and still have something behind them.
These are only a few suggestions, but if you can make a really well-made calendar, not only would it be impressive and look awesome, but you could sell it and make a pretty penny! Maybe higher a good photographer and use a good camera with high quality lighting at the very least.

Sorry if I seem so picky about this sort of thing, but doing photo manips is something I did every day at my old job, and the trick to a good photo edit is to make it look like you didn't do anything. I just get really annoyed at bad manip jobs.

It would be cool if we have several artists here participate in the manipulation. I've admitted on several occasions that I don't exactly have high end programs or use a high end computer, nor do I have any professional training. I just use whatever ghetto programs I can get for free. I'm totally willing to help with this project, though, so it can even be a showcase of different styles as well as what Robo_Sugar and her friends would like. Even artistic elements like Sepia can be part of it for a themed or stylized shoot. It's their project so I'll leave the creative criticisms up to them since beggars can't be choosers.

The tattoo thing is interesting to me. I mean, if a fembot is a piece of property, then it stands to reason some users would "mod" it in the same way they do their cars or their desktop computers or whatever. So you'd see, I think, a significant amount of grey area where the Venn Diagram of "fembot owners" and "tattoo aficionados" overlap.

Also, with a fembot you have the potential to swap out parts. So maybe you'd have her "clean" arms for business and her "tattoo" arms for the weekend with the boys in Sturgis, or what have you.

A fun picture would be to have a fembot with an obviously brand-new arm (perhaps in a notably lighter skintone) at the tattoo shop, getting a heart with the name "Frank" in it, while next to her lies the old arm, which has a heart with the name "Bobby" in the same spot. Sort of a modern-day homage of the old Rockwell painting.

I concur with the comments about your chassis, Robo_Sugar, if I may be so bold.

As to the tattoos thing, I think tattoos can be extremely hot. Granted, tattoos can also look terrible, but that's generally just a case of a badly done tattoo or a tattoo of something distasteful, such as a white power unicorn wearing a swastika armband (this is a thing that exists and I've seen it). Personally, I think a woman with a full back tattoo of a wizard fighting a dragon would be one of the hottest things ever, but that's just me :P

I know it's all a matter of personal taste, but it kind of bothers me to hear guys complain about girls with tattoos, but that's mainly because it's something that some guys get really shockingly mean and nasty about for some reason. There's kind of a sexist undercurrent to it too at times, in that they seem to imply (well, sometimes even state) that it's ok for guys to get tattoos, but that women shouldn't mar their unblemished skin and ruin it for the menfolk. It just kinda gets under my skin sometimes (pun intended).

Unfortunately, it looks like plans for this have been dashed by Sugar's absence from the board. It's a sad thing, as she was quite clever, and her presence is certainly missed.

Blast from the past here...

I fear any attempt to create a project like this will befall the same fate. Here pessimism becomes realism, as that seems to be the wont of this community.

:hypnotized:
why?
we just need to decide/design a template for each month, choose colors, thats not so hard, we have infinite time, its just a bunch of squares and circles in a nice arrangment....then get some cool dates and store them until adding time and at the same time encourage local and semi local artists to participate and then postergate it until it can coincide with the new year after it is all done u_u

Regards.
