MotorMan: Thank you for the encouragement. I am definitely not the dreaded judgmental feminist. I do believe in equal rights but that leads me to think: if Fembots are okay for men, why can't I fantasize about the perfect male lover robot? If you didn't catch this post or it was to long to read, here's the jist of it:
ShiroChan wrote: I've read many articles on sexbots and their appeal/impact to society. There are far more pros than cons, in my opinion. Most of the opponents to this technology are women, which just makes no sense to me. A vibrator is perfectly accepted socially as a means of pleasing yourself without a man, as a robotic object of the male penis. You can buy various sizes, shapes, colors, and frequencies of vibration. Why then is it suddenly unacceptable when not just the family jewels are robotic, but a whole sexual and social partner?

Men accept this idea easier for some reason, perhaps because women fear being replaced. A robotic lover will do whatever you want, look however you want, and behave as it is programmed to. This may be hard for women to compete with, but why compete? Ladies it's time for a little, "when in Rome." A male sex robot will do all these things for us, just as a fembot will for a man. You like the controlling, bad boy type, but are tired of being left in the dust? A male sexbot could do just that, and will never leave you! You like a submissive man, who will cook and clean for you... etc, etc. Well, whatever a woman's desire, as technology advances this becomes more and more possible...
The post was much longer. I hacked out most of it since most forum readers are lazy and don't want to read all that (see page two of this thread).

I felt much the same as you did at first, I even had myself a good cry over feeling rejected and misunderstood. In the end (and after a few hours of badly needed sleep), I decided that any acceptance is better than nothing. I think this will be a great opportunity for me to reach out to other women like me, and provide them with a haven away from that gross malebot site.

Oh and about the robotic penis, I would never post something like that here since this site is so male oriented. I do have some tact. =P

dark: As a female, there is definitely a point. If you really want to know, and aren't just being judgmental (since that's how your post came across) read my post on page 2 of this thread.

Saya: Thank you for the welcome~! I will boldly go where no man has gone before!!!! (Yeah, I like movies too~ Especially ones with androids in them!)

Just tried to banter you because you have complained of being mocked. We are all here for fun, so don't take the written word that serious.

Why not? It would be perfectly on-topic as long there's a fembot counterpart in the picture/story etc.(Still, it would disturb some members I think.) There are some stories like that.

It was only this year that I discovered that my 'fascination' was actually called something (and you can bet I was excited that there were others that shared similar interests). Whenever you are able to make one that is mostly themed around 'male' robots, I'm sure I'll be just as interested in that as I am in this place (I'm actually female, and like both 'male' and 'female' robots, to be honest). I was lucky to even find this forum, but, I'm glad I did. :)

Welcome aboard. I for one enjoy synthetic beings of any gender and sexual persuasion. As I come from a transformation interest background I guess you could say I have different priorities from some of the local ASFR crowd, but there's a lot of overlap so I have learned not to be picky. Feel free to send me an IM or PM if you wanted to talk about some ideas.

Sounds great! Will do. I've been completely immersed in setting up the mandroid forum. It's taken some trial and error, but I'll have it looking good in no time. The site is up, but not as nice as I'd like it to be yet. I'll keep working on it.

If anyone wants to visit and give some constructive criticism (and perhaps the way to fix what they don't like) I'd really appreciate it. Still trying to figure out how to change the logo in the top left corner, seems silly but I can't find anything in the phpBB documentation about it.

Man... I go out of town for a week... and we almost have a schism! :P
I for one am all for support of your own fetishes. ASFR does not mention fembots anywhere in the title.. it is robots... so anything goes.
I understand this is a fembot themed site, but we should link to our new "sister"... or "brother" (:P) site just in case it helps bring traffic there.

I for one am interested in robots and androids of all kinds. I have dreamed of robots, both male and female, all my life. I love the variety of characters you can get, and still enjoy watching Data on Star Trek (still my favorite character). Granted, I only associate my sexual fetishes toward female robots, but I am an open and accepting individual and will join both forums just to see what other cool android stuff is out there. I'll be sure to write some stories for my lady (and gay) friends who are ASFR members too.

So while fembot central can expect for chapters and more stories from me soon, I will have some new ones to post on mandroid as well.

Good luck with the site!

Somewhat like ShiroChan, I'm a woman with a technosexual fetish. Our tastes don't exactly line up, though, because I'm attracted to fembots--not other women in general, just female cyborgs in particular. I've only ever wanted to be in heterosexual relationships, but for some reason I find the idea of a woman having her body and mind permanently altered with robotic and computer parts very stimulating. This scenario also applies to myself.

So, like the topic starter, I'm sort of halfway in between this site's target demo, but I enjoy it plenty here anyway.

No, the title mentions "fembots". Could you bomb your own argument into dust MORE efficiently?

We've had this discussion in the past; and anyway, the title is not the description of this site's charter.
It is a private site, not a government site which is obliged to protect against discrimination.

Convenient access to info is what our members have enjoyed.
If we could set up the two sites, so you and others would see all the topics you want... but then we would need a one-time button to bulk filter all the manbot material out for the rest.

Go to it! Code that for us.
Or accept that even if the F is not for Fembot, ASFR has stood for fembots here for 10 years..

Eep, I do know that ASFR stands for Alt Sex Fetish Robots. So no, F does not stand for fembot, granted this is Fembot Central. gynoneko was not saying I should post as much mandroid stuff as I want; gynoneko was simply suggesting that Fembot Central have a link to the sister-site I have created for mandroid lovers.

As you can see, I've already created a forum for the smaller population of mandroid lovers out there. I will be refraining from posting more mandroid topics here, as there is indeed a second site already coded and hosted for just that purpose. Perhaps you should read the whole thread before you go spewing flames about a second site, as I have already stated in another post that it is up and running!

Here's another link, just in case you missed the first one~!

No, no, I appreciate what you've done.
Others have griped, and gone away without solving the problem.
You went at a solution with vigor,

I meant hacking together some kludge, to make it look like results for this and your site all come from one place.

Awesome, glad we're on the same page. :)
Here's the skinny on mandroid atm. I'll try to be concise. I registered my domain with DreamHost and then used an "app" to create a phpBB forum in a sub-domain. When I use the FTP for DreamHost, the forum is not hosted on the same server.

I'm not sure why the site wouldn't be on the same web server as the initial domain provided, nor do I understand why it isn't listed as a sub-domain in the DreamHost Web Panel. I'm going to post in both DreamHost and phpBB support forums today, as this has me a tad stumped.

To solve the problem I have to install phpBB using a custom install, not a simple install. That means I have to remake the whole site. I have the skeleton remade now. Unfortunately, this means anyone who registered before must register on the new site. I won't take down the first one until I've transferred most of the posts and have it looking great.
The new website is at http://www.mandroidcentral.com/index.php

EDIT: The website is good to go and looking pretty snazzy. I'd love to get more traffic and registered users. Feel free to check out the website and tell me what you think! To those who registered on the first website, I'm sorry I couldn't just transfer you over to the new site. Please register again at the new forums! I was not given access to the database of the first site, which makes it impossible to transfer any of the old posts or users to the new one.

Thank you Keizo for your support and contributions! I'm looking forward to some stories gynoneko, thanks for your hard work!

The site is going very well, though I've had a ridiculous amount of spam, advertisement, and bot registrations (and not the sexy kind either). It's annoying that the spam filter isn't working as well as I expected. I've made some changes to make it more difficult for spammers to register, here's hoping it works!

I hope your site continues to grow. Once it gets more traction I'm sure it will become even harder to keep up with but in a good way!

Shirochan:
I am fully supportive of your efforts, good luck with your site. :D I think we all can definitely benefit from fembots/mandroids. Imagine you can have the most attractive male with any personality you desire. Even swap out personalities for one's when you are in the mood for something different. Sounds like a great deal to me. Best of luck to you and your madroid subsite.

Thanks again for the support! Yes, I wholeheartedly agree on the appeals of a programmable male companion. Not to mention the advanced intellect, strength, and generally sexy attributes of a bot. MMMM, gotta love those open panels (see my avatar? YUM!).
