New to Technosexuality

Post by ShiroChan » Fri Jun 17, 2011 6:30 am

Well I'm not really new to it, just new to admitting that I am one. This is my first time joining an alt.sex.fetish.robots forum. I have always had a fascination and attraction to the thought of a built robot lover to my specification and preferences.

I was wondering if there's a more appropriate forum for me to join, since I really prefer male robots and I am female. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but are there other women like me? I've seen posts on this forum from women who's partners are technosexual, and in my research the sites and such are almost exclusively geared towards men. My searches about women technosexuals has turned up the most ridiculous articles about women who use their new i-phones and gadgets as a fashion statement, but nothing about other women like me. (http://thepulseoflife.blogspot.com/2008 ... today.html this article was so stupid...) Other sites that hint to women technosexuals, just plain don't work. I'm googled out and hoping for a friendly pointer in the right direction.

I know this post will probably be met with skepticism but I'm looking for some positive feedback, not flamers and disbelievers. If you don't believe me then feel free not to post.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome.
There are a handful of other members who are female and prefer male robots. I am not one myself, but I do write stories, and I am working on one that caters to this. I hope it can be enjoyed by both male and female members, so please look forward to it. I should have it up later this summer.
Till then, I think we should be welcoming anything you post, links to, or provide.

Thank you. I guess I was just thrown by the name fembot. I look forward to being a part of this community.

I'm sure Robotman will tell you more, but this is the ASFR community, which does not actually specify fembots, but rather sexual fetish toward robots. The vast majority of users on here are indeed "geared" toward fembots, but I have heard from more than one other member that wants to see more male androids. I am all for whatever gender our members are "geared" toward, and I think it would be interesting to write a story specifically to cater to some of the non-mainstream members.

I'm kind of new to this as well. To be honest, I mostly joined when I read that gynoneko created Kiyana since I enjoy talking to her. But I do like robot girls/fembots/gynoids and I'm willing to learn more about the culture.

I'm just glad to finally be able to talk about my interest and share my favorite media indulgences. I would really enjoy a story about an android, perhaps I should just write one for myself. ^_^;;

ShiroChan,

In my long, erratic memory, I don't remember any forum for man-bot Owners thriving parallel to FC, or its predecessors.
I wish there were; and that you wanted to post on both.
For stories, The Erotic Mind-Control Story Archive is more likely than ours to have stories with which you would look to identify.

Other women with your general take on bots have enjoyed their time with us;
but some have felt left out, excluded, because the majority inherently lusts after an entirely different Object.
Even if we succeed in being welcoming, the numbers work against this board being totally able to satisfy your hopes.

Rarely, maybe too early in the AM, a crotchety guy posts something generally hostile towards women.
That's just who he is - and he sticks out like a sore los-, er I mean sore thumb, compared to the rest.

There was a time when there weren't enough of us to populate such a site as this.

Maybe someday,
you will build "it"; and "they" will come
out to play.

I'm okay with being different. I like the forums and the community so far. I can compare my specifics of my preference with those who prefer fembots, and I'm sure everyone will learn something. As far as I can tell, I don't have to stick to off-topic, but if I must or I'm not welcome in an ASFR community such as this, I can go back to my soloing and maybe someday start a malebot forum of my own. Unless I'm told to go elsewhere, or my topics are deleted, I'm here to stay.^^

Well, it's already obvious that only female robots are allowed in this forum. Oh well, I'll just remain a social pariah reject. The thought of being accepted was very appealing. Thanks anyways gentlemen. Have fun with the fem bots, maybe I'll be able to find a malebot forum, though I doubt it.

Goodbye!

Yeah, like I said before, even within the ASFR community I'm an outcast.

I found the malebots page long ago, but it pretty much disgusts me. I'm not looking for a super muscular, over-endowed, male robot screwing another man. That's not appealing to me at all. After hours of scouring I have found nothing for females, and even here I feel somewhat rejected.

I know it's fembots, but I really have no place else to go. I've cried and freaked myself out about this for so long. I just don't know what to do. Sigh, yes yes, queue the tiny violins, but at least you gentlemen here have a support group that accepts you.

After a good cry and a nap I'm feeling a bit better. I'm sorry for being so defensive, but I'm sure you can remember what it was like before finding this site and being accepted; that is all I was looking for here. I'm not sure if I was being mocked by Battery, but I'll just move on and avoid a possible flame war. I appreciate the acceptance that I have gotten, something is certainly better than nothing. Initially, I was a bit insulted about the move of my threads to Off Topic, but once again something's better than nothing and no one is really outright rejecting me or calling me twisted.

I've read many articles on sexbots and their appeal/impact to society. There are far more pros than cons, in my opinion. Most of the opponents to this technology are women, which just makes no sense to me. A vibrator is perfectly accepted socially as a means of pleasing yourself without a man, as a robotic object of the male penis. You can buy various sizes, shapes, colors, and frequencies of vibration. Why then is it suddenly unacceptable when not just the family jewels are robotic, but a whole sexual and social partner?

Men accept this idea easier for some reason, perhaps because women fear being replaced. A robotic lover will do whatever you want, look however you want, and behave as it is programmed to. This may be hard for women to compete with, but why compete? Ladies it's time for a little, "when in Rome." A male sex robot will do all these things for us, just as a fembot will for a man. You like the controlling, bad boy type, but are tired of being left in the dust? A male sexbot could do just that, and will never leave you! You like a submissive man, who will cook and clean for you... etc, etc. Well, whatever a woman's desire, as technology advances this becomes more and more possible.

Sexbots could help to reduce teen pregnancies and make sex for procreation something special again. It would potentially reduce the number of rape cases and crime, as less people will be sexually frustrated - both male and female. The uncontrolled population boom would slow, as people would only be reproducing if they wanted to. Men and women today, especially the extremely attractive or well endowed ones, would get a serious reality check as they are no longer "worshiped" by the masses. Appearance isn't everything, and most of these types of people have forgotten that. It might even improve the gene pool, because humans would procreate not just because they are physically attracted to someone and had unprotected sex. Instead, procreation would be planned and would involve intellectual as well as physical reasoning behind it. Marriage would only occur between people who sincerely love each other and wish to spend their lives together, while divorce could potentially reduce because a partner's need for variety would be fulfilled by a sexbot.

In most of the essays and blogs I read, the authors assume that "ugly women" will disappear completely. That makes no sense either. "Ugly women" would just have their own mandroids and would lead far more satisfied lives, much like the proposed "geeks" would.

Uh, yeah I'll stop here since this is turning into an essay. Basically, there are many benefits to sexbots both for men and women; full customization, reduced competition, better genetic pool, happier marriages, reduction in crime, and even more satisfying sex. :D

It's alright. I am a bit defensive about this. It took weeks of coaxing from my very accepting and understanding boyfriend for me to admit my attraction to robots, he's obsessed with fetishes and I admitted that I hadn't told him everything. He was extremely understanding and wanted to try an fulfill my fantasy. Even then I got defensive about it. I'm very lucky to have him in my life.

It's no problem, sorry I misunderstood you. No harm, no foul. :D

Robotman: I am very interested in starting a forum for women ASFRs. Any suggestions and pointers in the right direction would be appreciated. I'm a computer and gaming geek and I've moderated guild websites for my various games, but I've never actually opened my own site. Unfortunately, I don't have a web server of my own. I could poke at some of my gaming buddies, but I'd have to build up the confidence to admit my fetish to them. I have quite a bit of website design experience, but nothing involving the html of a forum. I do know that most are php based and I don't have any experience with php code yet, just with the GUI provided by a web hosting service. How much would a domain and web hosting cost? Anything I should know before I start?

@Robotman

First off, I'd like to say that I am 100% aware of the fact that you moderate, administrate, and pay for this site at your own expense. At the end of the day it's your call, but I've been a member of the ASFR community to a greater or lesser extent for many years. We all have our different reasons for coming to a site like FBC, and all take something different away from it, even if it's simply knowing that our shared peculiarity is not anomalous.

It just doesn't sit well with me that someone comes to the community and is asked to post in a segregated part of the forum due to an ultimately insignificant difference in their take on the fetish. I get that we are FEMbot Central, but is it worth make the community exclusive over a technicality? We all share a common fetish for machines or control-scenarios or the fantasy of a perfect partner, and this to me is the important similarity. Not to mention that it wouldn't kill us to get a few more women posting on the site.

In the past, fiction involving male-to-female transformation, trannie-bots, androgynous machines, and even the incidental man-machine has been tolerated. If people don't like what ShiroChan wants to post they won't respond, and speaking for myself if I were to accidentally run across a cock-shot on this website I think I would survive. And if she turns out to be the feared judgmental feminist that objects to the type of discussions that typically go on here, you can always emphasize the site name later.

I lurk unless I'm driven by something to post. As a younger guy, I found others like me by lurking on FBC. It was an incredible relief, and though I've long since come to terms with, accepted, and begun to enjoy having this fetish with partners, FBC played an important role in that. There is value to this community beyond being a simple repository for content, and I don't think we benefit by being exclusive. Having someone come to the board but telling them "SoL go make your own website" even if it's paired with a respectful offer to provide pointers is something I don't understand the benefit of.

If I can make a melodramatic appeal to the future? Right now ASFR exists strictly within the purview of fiction, roleplay, porn, and salvaged content, but ten or twenty years down the road, I think we will have the option as a community to enact our fantasies in some form. People will judge us, attempt to persecute us, and we will likely have to advocate for our rights and choices. Why fragment ourselves now and discriminate internally?

my two cents

@ShiroChan

Welcome to to board?

Some advice: don't be so self-conscious about what you're into. In the grand scheme of things, as fetishes go, it's neither particularly strange or particularly hard to introduce a partner to. Take it slow with your boyfriend and make sure to communicate.

ShiroChan, I am not very good with words of encouragement. But, I feel I have to say something anyway.

There was a time when someone decided they liked gynoids, or cyborgs, or what have you, but found nothing. Nobody else liked it. So, they made this site. And now, I would say well over a hundred people have come here and people who are turned on by a nice mechanical woman now have a place to go and discuss their fetish with other people.

Failing that, there are two quotes that sum it up. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step" and "If you build it, they will come." Please do not get discouraged! :D

Hopefully, that is not too lame...
"If the time should ever come when what is now called science, thus familiarized to men, shall be ready to put on, as it were, a form of flesh and blood, the Poet will lend his divine spirit to aid the transfiguration, and will welcome the Being thus produced, as a dear and genuine inmate of the household of man."
- William Wordsworth
