It's an over-the-top movie for the SciFi Channel.
With a tagline "Rednecks vs Robots" you know it isn't about thoughtful commentary on human existence.

Hi all
I got board so tried to find Chrome Angles on DVD
After doing a bit of research I found the makers of the film at http://activeentertainment.com/index.ph ... s-trailer/
There address and phone is
Active Entertainment
209 Garfield Street Lafayette, LA 70501
(337) 706-8957
So I decided to call and be a pain in the ass.
In talking with them they said the film will be delayed about 2 months (from now, not the June 6th release date on IBNM) it will most likely be on pay per view or the sci fi channel.
They seemed very pleased to hear from any one and very receptive.

Bumping the thread to review
OK, so I downloaded this from Dale Coba's FTP the other day and watched it. Ok, so I "watched it". I started with just scrubbing through with the slider then went back and used VNC's "skip forward" feature to blow through quickly. The gist is a gang of really quite attractive female bikers is robbing towns on their way to Mexico or something. They stumble into a town that's all robots and the plot to take over the world. Something like that anyway.
**SPOILERS**
So here's the more detailed run-down of the whole plot (as I observed it in brief flashes.)
The girls come into this town and get in a fight in the bar and shoot everyone, finding out they're all robots. Three of them are captured. They spend a lot of time shooting robots then they find their redneck buddies with guns and cars and go back to the town.
Meanwhile, it's revealed that one of the three captives is duplicated as an android and her mind transferred. The human manages to survive and forcibly recruits the nerdy creative genius. Meanwhile, the duplicate returns to the other two. They escape and find the robot copies of some of their friends that are turned off (the gist is they got DNA samples and a machine uses some kind of laser thing to reconstruct their bodies.) They realize the duplicate is a duplicate but she convinces them she's not a duplicate.
The others are busy fighting a big robot thing but they finally reconnect with the nerdy guy and the real girl that was duplicated. However, the duplicate and the other two already escaped. The nerdy guy quotes the Voight-Kampff test script from Blade Runner calling it a "PK test" and makes the duplicate flake out so they shoot her.
The big plot to blow up the world is that 3,500 nuclear-powered androids are out there and will blow up as small nukes (i.e. 100 yards [yeah right]) terrorizing the world. The girl that was duplicated and her friend go back to stop the evil genius behind it all. The nerdy guy and another girl go back and activate the android copies and program them to help. They motorcycle through a mall and shoot lots of robots.
The two others find the evil genius but they're too late so they use the PK test on the two duplicates he's got there and they all blow up. As does lots of people in the world.
So the movie concludes with one of the real girls left, the nerdy guy, two rednecks, and three of the robot duplicates. They all become friends and I guess continue robbing people.
** SPOILERS END **
There's a total of 6 android women: a ditzy assistant and 5 others. I guess one actress quit or something because only 4 of the others appears later in the film. There is no nudity. Two male androids have their insides shown. But there is significant plot and screen time dedicated to GINO's. And, if it floats your boat, all the people of the town are robots so all the shopping and mall scenes have a few brief shots of women, mostly average-looking.
