Hello, this is Douglas Hines from True Companion!

Thank you for the opportunity to follow up with you and to let you know that I have been and continue to be part of our community. We at True Companion are very excited to bring together engineers from some of the best robotics organizations and produce some remarkable products!

We have started to post videos online with demos. Please review them and email/call us anytime of day or night with any questions.

I realize that this is so new and many people have questions... Please email me or call and we will follow up with you.

Over the coming weeks and months, we will have many more announcements.

Doug, no offense but I really don't care one way or the other about the outcome of your project. I really don't mean that in a derogatory manner either, it's just that I am strictly into the fantasy/idea of female robots/gynoids than actual female robots/gynoids. I like real women creating the illusion that they are artificial rather than an artificial woman masquerading as a real one.

That being said I do support those members who do look forward to one day being able to interact with their own fembot and after having read several posts regarding your work and an especially interesting piece by Mr. Levy, my post was basically a joking preface to the shitstorm that I thought your post would elicit. However, it looks like most here chose the classy route and have decided to ignore it altogether.

, I guess most members here don't really give two shits about it, but after reading all the controversy and ways of Mr. 'doug-not-so-true-companion' I just wonder why mods haven't banned this guy yet... he's not doing us a favor, nor is he contributing in any positive way to the community, but since this is not my board... well, to each his own I guess

Hi fnord. We have various faces - so that way you can have one which is the hottest for you.

We'll get those faces up shortly.

We have recently had visitors to our office and had a third party interact with Roxxxy. We have created a new face for her and are also planning to have other visitors meet her. As a matter of fact, someone who is a member of Fembot Central forum met her. Hopefully he will post here with his feedback.

I am available by phone pretty much any time and by email to answer any questions.

I'm one of those people putting this thread mostly on ignore ... but I wanted to take this opportunity to state just how strongly I agree with the bolded statements above.

The day that somebody makes a real "sex robot" that people can try out in the privacy of their own home is going to be a huge day around this forum. Just not for me.

Are you familiar with Project Aiko, Mr. Hines? She can read text, move her arms, move her head to follow moving objects, perform mathemtical equations, identify objects presented to her, tell the weather, and hold a conversation (with a text-to-speech synthesizer so she isn't limited to pre-recorded statements). Aiko was designed by a single person over a few years with nothing more than the money from his own pocket. You claim TrueCompanion was designed by a team of top experts over a decade with a sizable budget. If everything you say is true, then common sense dictates that TrueCompanion must be better than Project Aiko, and I want to hear why. I don't need pictures or videos or anything else that you can't show me until later. Just a simple explanation as to why TrueCompanion is more advanced.

And I realize I asked this before, but I didn't get an answer then, and I have a feeling I won't get one now either.
