1) It's possibly an April Fool's PrankCornelius wrote:I thought "Programmed for Pleasure" looked dated from the 70's, but I guess I never realized its shoddy video quality until Google updated their service today ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBI8qbSu98g&textp=fool
And 2) That vid reminds me of the eye-view from a robot's sight... or something.

the "textp=fool" tag at the end of the url was part of YouTube's April fool's gag... They transcoded videos to text, and had a blog entry from their CFO explaining that viewing videos in that resolution would save them $1 a minute in bandwidth costs...
You can still view it in normal mode by changing the resolution from text to 360p or whatever is available... or by removing 'textp=fool' from the url.

This looks like a pub-based belly-dancing competition. OK, so the wind up key is a bit cheap looking, but her moves at times are pretty good...

This is an all-too brief (8 second) clip of a dancer with a key in her back. I'll see if I can find a longer clip...

Sorry - this one has to get the award for most poorly constructed wind up key. And perhaps worst dance. And maybe even robo-walk. I post it merely for completion's sake...

OK, another one. Dance performance of a gradually breaking down clockwork fembot. Second half perhaps not so good, although the change of heart is a nice touch...

ROBOTRIX
You can watch the movie ROBOTRIX online at www.site4link.com/Robotrix, but do so at your own peril as there are some really weird scenes in this movie!

Saw this on SNL the other night. It did absolutely nothing for me, but for some of those that are into robotic dancing, tight silver body suits, or even a female version of MTV's "moon man" - then maybe it's for you. (Don't get your hopes up). Song is called Tik Tok by Ke$ha, and no I'm not kidding!

*sigh* such memories. I remember when I was renting VHS tapes at the local (non-Blockbuster) video stores all over town just to feed my demons.zapped! wrote:...And the Making of Cherry 2000 :D :

LOL! - You're not the only one! In the pre-internet days, I used to drive over an hour one way to a little "mom -n- pop" video store, just to rent "Night of the Living Debbies." On more than one occasion, I rented obscure ASFR-themed video tapes and the clerk would say, "Wow, you're the only person that's rented that movie in the last year, and you've rented it a dozen times! ...Wouldn't it have been cheaper just to buy it?" - I'm sure Cherry 2000 was one such movie.
I'm actually more into women being turned into living mannequins/dolls or being cryofrozen. I do like fembots, (especially deactivation/ blank stares), but only if they are the "fleshy type"... (Don't have much use for the cyborg/ metallic android look). When it came to the part where they take the tour through the showroom, and you see the milf sitting on the washing machine and the school girl with the apple in her hand, I'd work that pause button like a fiend!

@ robofan: That is an AWESOME catch. "Hot for Words" pretending to be a robot...
In the beginning of the video, she says that one of the visitors to her website suggested that she explain the history of the word "robot." Wonder if it was one of us?
Bet youtube find in a while. Congrats!

That's the entire movie, 87 minutes long. Can you point out where to look for the fembot parts?Jay Pe El wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc7k1C3-enM
