Anyone hear of RoboGeisha?

Post by Vendetta1000 » Thu Jan 07, 2010 10:11 pm

I just heard of this due to getting an email from the anime/manga site RightStuf for thier weekly sales and in it mentioned that Funimation aquired the US DVD distribution rights to RoboGeisha. Found the trailer for it on Youtube here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgrKLjoWcbs . Looks pretty wild and has quite a bit of robotic ASFR from a geisha's eyes glowing and a disc saw emerging from her mouth, another with women firing upon each other via machine gun breasts, another where a geisha opens up with a person inside, and a scene with a geisha who's lower torso transforms into a tank with treads.

It's a Z-grade scifi/geisha-exploitation flick. I'd heard about it a year ago, and am glad the Youtube link doesn't work because it's excessively gory, lacking in story, and filmed by a director with the attention span of a Dory.

I do WISH, however, that I could unsee it.

That movie nearly feaks me out. I prefer the sexual types of geisha robots, not the violent types. Seeing that made me feel uneasy.

And let me tell you... FUNIMation can get away with anything that not anime-related.
