I'm a 100% Marvel guy, through and through. So I've seen plenty of Jocasta but very little of the Metal Men.
I voted for Platinum because from what little I know of her, she has far more personality than Jocasta and the artists who've drawn her have been far more playful with her. Even without dialogue you can tell from the images on the covers I've seen that she's a "girl" you could have fun with.
Jocasta on the other hand is usually treated by the writers as a toaster with boobs.

While not entirely robot (she has a human brain), my vote goes to Battle Angel Alita aka Gally.
A complex character who makes most western comic protagonists look bland by comparison

I am definitely a huge fan of hers, definitely! Besides being a great character, the rest of the series was written well, too, and it's definitely one of my favourite anime.

The fembot Polaris from that one issue of Exiles.
Elvis Lives. Not in this timeline, but in quite a few others.

I went with Jocasta. The current storyline with Hank Pym treating Jocasta as a stand-in for his deceased wife Jan is slightly creepy, yet somewhat intriguing at the same time.
There's always the Ultimate Universe version of The Vision, who appears to me to be an homage to Futura from "Metropolis".

Kishin, have you seen Geoff Johns' run on Green Lantern? (Along with the currently ongoing "Blackest Night" mini-series.) It might not be your cup of tea, but I thought you may be interested in a recommendation. In my opinion, it's the best thing in comics right now.

I'm gonna have to go with a character of my own. Razz
Erica from "The Robots of Love".
I'll agree with you on that one. Western comics as a whole have left me with a very big distaste due to the constant rehashing and rewriting of the same story again and again.
I guess that's why I came to life Japanese manga so much.

I Like Platinum and Jocasta, but then I do like a good silvery figure;) My all time favorite though has to be Major Motoko Kusanagi of Ghost in the Shell, even though I don't think she'd qualify as a fembot per say. Technically, she's a cyborg, even though she practically all machine, with her "Ghost" as her remaining human part. (don't know if her cyberbrain has a portion or all of her original human mind). I like that she's playful but also take charge serious and quite ingenious. There is a series of hot lookalike fembots that work for Section 9 but their designation escapes me at the moment.
Also like Bethlehem Steele a lot, Armitage the Third, Anne Droid of Gen 13, EVE Protomecha, and also the Ultimate Vision is cool...being a golden fembot instead of the Christmas colored male of the main universe

Oooh, after seeing the pics, my vote has to go to Platinum.

If it is possible for man to love machine, is there any way for the machine to love him back? I'd like to think so.
