This is an incredible advancement! I can't wait until it looks like a well manicured feminine hand, but this shows so much potential for future abilities. Excellent find :D

I had an amazing thought. Once this high-speed robotics technology advances enough to make a whole body, do you know what it could be used for?

The weird thing about this video is that it doesn't say created the thing AND it's stored on a completely general-purpose video site which also doesn't give you a clue. Is it done by a university or a private company?

Well, to answer my own question, it's from - IshiKawa Komuro Laboratory, University of Tokyo, see http://www.k2.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/ for lots of robotic stuff...
