When I click that link, youtube tells me that the video isn't there. Oddly, it doesn't say anything about a takedown, and seems to imply that the video might have been recently uploaded and may not show up for a few minutes. Of course, I've been re-checking for two days now, so it's not that.

Sounds like a great movie...

But I dunno about Roll. Is she a robot, or huh?

Better question. Do you think she'll actually act like a robot or is it going to be a:

'I'm a robot.' 'Oh.'

scenario?

I mean like either the Original Mega Man Roll (Robot) or the Mega Man 64 Roll (Human). Because I can tell.

From the description box directly next to the video:

"As a personal project, Dr. Light creates 2 androids named Roll (a female) and Rock (a male) who are made to be as human as possible from appearance to behavior."

Reading is fundamental!

Hey, always glad to clear up a mystery.

Now here's a strange one. It's a very familiar clip, but with an...odd substitution.

Surrogates

Post by zapped » Wed Aug 26, 2009 5:35 pm

I'm more of a timestop/living mannequin/cryo-freeze guy, but I do have an appreciation for deactivated fembots, or fembots standing at attention with a blank stare, etc. I lurk on this forum from time to time, so forgive me if this has already been posted. If you clowns are done chating about crystal clear coke and the two Cyborg films, I finally found something worth posting about. I recently came across these two trailers for the upcoming Bruce Willis film that deals heavily with robots called "Surrogates" . . . Am I the only one that's excited about this coming out in September?

A couple of interesting things of note. The Surrogates seem to run on a power grid. When they are powered down, they seem to drop wherever they are. In one scene, if you watch closely, there are two surrogates being charged up in booths off to the side of a city walkway! There is also a web site (the address is seen at the end of the clip). If you go on there, you can click on the icon to take a 3-D tour of the manufacturing facility. In the showroom, there is a brunette surrogate that's attired in a body-glove type suit, that rotates around 360 degrees for your consideration! There is also a brief, but cool scene at the very begining of the second trailer, where a fembot (I believe she's a detective?) gets activated in her booth. Watch for her sliding out of the row of Surrogates, and then jerking to a stop at the end of her track!

Robotman, I salute you. I can only take so many stupid comments about Crystal Pepsi before I break something, and you moving the entire discussion about it to the Off Topic forum was something that should have been done much sooner. I'd take my hat off to you, except I'm not wearing one.

Jesus Christ. Next time you're curious, just go ahead and ask. Just like in real life, don't let a couple of people freaking out about 3 Crystal Pepsi posts stop you from asking a question. Especially one about Crystal Pepsi. The moderators here are quick and efficient, they'll move things off-topic as they've done in this instance.

Saw this on Digg...

Some neat robot dancing

On a side note, I'm not a fan of rap or hip hop, but I had to agree 100% with the lyrics on that song.

EDIT: Found also the "behind the scenes" video with some more scantily clad women portraying "robots": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn0YTDTt ... re=channel
