Damn fine post, Ddroid!
Not only is Carolina Bang exceptionally yummy, but the creators of the show devised just about the coolest on and off switches possible.

We might need a thread solely devoted to Lorna!
EDIT -- I don't care for dismantled stuff but this clip is from before the one above:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=D-mVRcuZJj4
and then the end of the same episode:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rbAIWLwNqp8
See? Good stuff! And this is only the second episode!

Whoa
That was rather excellent.
About the more ancillary stuff (for members of this board anyway), the premise of this series (a comedy, It appears to be Spain's answer to England's Red Dwarf) is the following: It takes place around the year 2500, where the president of the World, Macaulay Culkin the 3rd, sends out a scouting mission to the outer reaches of the galaxy on the Spaceship Pluton BRB Nero, to find a planet suitable for habitat for humans to move into, because by that time, the sea level has risen to the point where mayor cities like London and New York are submerged underwater.
It's also produced by Alex de La Iglesia, who foreign genre-film buffs should know know for being the director of spanish cult-film "Accion Mutante"
On a somewhat related sidenote... From what I've read on Spanish film blogs recently, there seems to be some sort of geek movement in film and TV, where young spanish filmmakers are more prone to try their hand at Sci-Fi and horror (i.e. the recent american movie Quarantine is a remake of a Spanish film that came out last year called [REC] ) than ever before (usually Spain's film industry relied heavily on highbrow/pretentious dramas. But the Geeks are starting to take over the industry over there, with interesting results).
So I'll keep my eyes peeled for more Sci-Fi stuff from the Spanish market from now on. There might be more of that on the horizon...

Here's a translation of the deactivation sequence from the first episode:
Lorna: Congratulations, cadet hoffman the android reconstruction seems perfect
Hoffman: It takes some skills, you have to make the polyurethane piece, work it, joint it with silicone...
Lorna: And why do you need me?
Hoffman: Nothing important, I have this part left and I don't know where it goes
Lorna: how strange...
Hoffman: Is it, right?
Lorna: Seems to be the card of a mobile
Hoffman: Yeah, perhaps if you look at it through the light...
-Lorna gets deactivated
Hoffman: Damn it that was scary, I though she wasn't going to fell for it
Querejeta: Yeah, it's your fault, "a mobile card"
Hoffman: God, she's hot
Querejeta: It's the uniform, helps a lot
Hoffman: and it's better without it
Querejeta: Would you date an android?
Hoffman: Yeah, Nothing serious though
Querejeta: Afterward you can just erase her memory
Hoffman: Yeah, no calling her back, no asking her to movies.... give me the pliers
Querejeta: Then you meet her the next day as if nothing happened...
Hoffman: The only thing is that Wollensy may feel bad about this, but if we accidentally tell him, we just turn him off, erase the last 5 minutes of his memory and it's all right again
Querejeta: True... -How repulsive is human behavior
Hoffman: Tell me about it...

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I joined the site today to see what they have to offer. If you're looking for anything more than pictures, you might be disappointed. They have one video up, that I could find. It's the Freezebot video previously posted on youtube.
However, in fairness the Zanimation, it looks like the site is still being finished and updated. I have an e-mail into them asking about the video content that they advertise. I will update this post when I receive a reply.
Based on the pictures and the preview on youtube, I'd say it looks promising. Hopefully, they will deliver...
More info to come, as I get it...

Yeah, well, I already made the mistake of joining that site back in the summer. When I signed up, for one month, there was virtually nothing and the site was unnavigable. In the last week of my subscription they started doling out the freezebot video at irregular intervals, seemingly one clip every two weeks. I slapped myself and wrote them off as a fraud; the fact that they're still in business may refute that conclusion, but if it does, it makes them incompetent beyond belief. I would not trust them with my credit card information, or even address, and I strongly advise everyone here not to give "Zanamation Studios" any more money.
P.S: I think the fact that in at least five months they have only two preview videos out, and apparently only one full length video available, speaks for itself (the "galleries" on the site are a joke)

Well it's nice to see they apparently have some new material and I have to say they seem to have a very interesting approach to their whole robot/mind control idea unlike most of what I've previously seen.
Although I do like the new preview, I've just heard too much negative feedback about that site from disappointed ex-members to join up just yet. Unfortunately, Karel's own experience was no exception here. Blkwdo, I hope they deliver what you paid for, they are advertising videos and that really should be what is made available to you on their site. Pictures aren't a bad thing, but they're also not what they promised.
I'll keep an eye out for any feedback you may have some time down the road.

trailer for "RoboGirl." Despite its total and predictable rip-off of RoboCop title art, it is looks (unfortunately) to be a rip-off of Terminator. But someone's trying!

I've been in touch with the new owner of Zanimation and she seems very excited to be putting out quality videos and pictures. Matter of fact, she is slated to update the site 4 times within a week. Very cool!
Kelly seems genuine in her desire and she says she wants to pay attention to the details. How cool is that?
She wants feedback and input, so talk to her people. Let her know what you want to see! Hopefully, this can be a new era for Zanimation Studios and our little group here.
