Let me just go ahead and put this one to bed.

The answer is, unequivocally: NO.

This is a hypnosis video. Not, in any sense, a robot video as we would understand it. Don't even get it out of curiousity. For hypno fans, maybe it's great. I'm reluctant to try to speak for everybody here since our tastes are quite varied, but nothing I've ever seen here in terms of interests was in this video.

All this video is - and I mean ALL IT IS - is this dude talking to the camera about a "robotification" technique that he's showing off involving "neuro-inhibitors" and this girl he puts them on. In a nutshell, he says: "Orgasm, now!" and the girl giggles and bends forward. I'm dead serious. It totally bites. The only robot related stuff in it is when he says: "she's a robot" and "delete your memory."

I don't know if hypnosis is real, but...let's put it this way. The girl, um, definitely wasn't acting. She was bad. She only talks about four times (she says "I am prototype 0 0 1" but she doesn't sound robotic, she sounds like she's about to fall asleep) and she giggles the rest of the time. She never acts even 1% robotic.

But I will say, in case the dude running that operation happens to stop by this space: I love you, man. Your tone was totally spot on. For a while, it reminded me of some CIA spook explaining some top-secret nasty mind-control shit and so forth. And I also liked how, towards the end (the whole thing runs almost 30min.) you could tell he was self-reflective about what he was doing (eg. "Mode 3 is customizable sex-slave mode. Because. Everybody wants that.")

Also, it says "high res". It ain't even that. But the dude scored $20 off me, so he's got the last laugh.

Well, I'm sorry to hear it's so weak. I know hypno's not popular 'round here but I was hoping someone who had a membership had seen it. It's too bad you wasted your money, but thanks for taking the bullet for others.

I've only seen a couple clips by this guy, but I believe the hypno is real. The problem there is giving a suggestion that a person is a robot means they will act like a robot as viewed from their subconscious. That's a total crap shoot. If done methodically, I think better results can be had if there's attention paid to aesthetics like intonation, posture and responses. I also think there needs to be some considerable trust between 'tist and 'tee.

If I may offer another viewpoint:

The man in question is Aaron, and he runs several hypnosis sites. The Hypnodyne series was his attempt to make videos combining the notion of robots and hypnosis. I have talked with him several times over the years and he is very interested in this subject.

This set is his first attempt to try the robot theme. By his own admission, this video doesn't have everything in it that his wants. He has some pretty big ideas that he wants to do (that he won't share with me, dangit!) But at least he is willing and wants to do it.

The subject---DJ Skye---is definitely attractive and one of the better models he worked with. She was willing to try this, and that goes a long way. In the end, I don't think she was right for this project. But now that's he done it, Aaron has an idea of what to look for in subjects better suited for Hypnodyne. I know he is on the lookout for more models to try this with, and hopes to do another session in the near future.

In summary, please don't write him off summarily. It's going to take some time for him (and us) to get where this series to be. There is defintely potential there, and I'm looking forward to new models. Additionally, he is totally up for suggestions because he's still trying to fine-tune this project to the audience who'll enjoy it.
