A good little article.
Reminded me of a story by Harlan Ellison called "Heleen Bournough", probably misspelled that.
It was about a beautiful female android super model created by a group of evil dwarfs to seduce, corrupt and drive to ruin powerful church leaders, businessmen and brilliant artists.
I could see a younger Madonna playing the role.
I've always thought she was heartless, completely artificial and without a sole so she'd be perfect

Sorry, I just remembered that the story was called "Rolling stock" and that sole should have been spelled soul

Any idea what collection that is in? I'd like to read it.

It's been about 30 years since I read the story and I don't have as many functional brain cells as I once did but after doing some serious searching on the interweb I think I have some hard facts.
The story was titled "The Face of Helene Bournouw" and was in the book "Deathbird stories"

Eh?
Madge found "thoroughly unsexy?"
I'm honestly shocked that you don't know better than to try and tease me in such fashion, my Great Friend; don't you of all peoples here uderstand that Baron + easy meat + indelible, un-curable cheese = yet another excuse for a violent-and-messy rampage, which I'm weary of already??
Fine thanks for my kind and sincere treatment towards YOUR baby, Mate - when am I going to get MY "Halloween Treat" then, eh????

That being said, here's the gist:
In addition to her thorough unsexiness, she's also THE most un-actress, un-vocallist, un-mother, un-American individual I've come across in my LIFE!!! She may speak with a "Mockney" accent these days, but the joke's always been ON her, since the day the doctor should have slapped her MOTHER, instead of her newborn ass!!!!
{General Note - the "malice" tone ISN'T actual; I'm just having a bit of fun posting "in / as a character" again.}
Assemble the ladies? I didn't know that they were broken......
