I think nerdship depends on more than your fetish, your work and attitude should come into it too.

Just cause you own whips and tie guys up who call you mistress doesnt mean your a bitch normally.

But considering I work in the computer games industry, am dating a scientist and love anime and retro SNES games I could be considered a nerd (or geek as we say where I am, )

I think that this particular fetish is inherantly nerdy, and any intellectual dissertation on exactly why this is the case would only make it moreso.

In fact, just my usage of the words "dissertation" and "moreso" probably ramp up the nerd factor by at least another 1500 points.

Actually I was thinking of later on trying to link this fetish with micheal focualt's history of sexuality and combine it with other post modernists such as anthony giddens, and jean brudrillard. To give some sort of sociological, philosophical explanition. That nerdy enough :D

I suppose it depends on what angle you approach the fetish from. If you need a woman who can calculate the square root of 32501 to the ten thousandths place, check your e-mail, compose a grocery shopping list, and charge your cell phone all while having sex with you, then yes this fetish makes you the ultimate nerd.

And people complain when their human lovers' thoughts wander during sex.

"What's on your mind, honeybot?"

"I currently have approximately 1,293 processes occupying my 'mind.'"

"And sex?"

"Comprises .000000000000007% of my overall processing power. Also, we need bread, milk, and sliced American cheese."

ASFR is the nerd's fetish for excellence, I remember some movies showing a nerd/geek's room full of Sorayama gynoids posters.

20 years ago the words nerd and geek had a pretty clear cut meaning.

A person who had poor social skills, physically unattractive, maybe a little smarter than average and was obsessed with something out of the main stream like video games, computers D&D etc.

These days it seems most people use nerd/geek to describe someone who is comfortable with technology and can use it a little better than the average person and that's about it.

The negative aspects of the words have gone away. That's because the nerdy kid who got stuffed in his locker in high school is now running a multi million dollar software company and the dumb jock who put him in there is driving a fork lift at home depot and calling sports talk radio in his spare time.

Taking that into account, I guess you could say that us folks who want to integrate technology into our sexual lives are indeed "ultimate nerds".

Hey KJ, I was a jock too. Lettered in track and wrestling and dated a cheerleader or two. I also played guitar in the school jazz band, was a member of the Ham radio club, class treasurer for a year and was really into scifi and American history.

I was lucky enough to walk both sides of the street but for many of the nerdy kids I knew high school was a tough go.

Hey Mirage, that was what Ogre would say in "Revenge of the Nerds". Great movie!!

I like to be the Alpha-Geek in my circles, but that's getting harder with age and responsibility. I don't even have the time to build my own computers any more, so I've turned to Dell. I feel like I bought a mini-van the first time I got a Dell.

Yes, I think we represent a big part of the Geek/Nerd demographic, and (I think) we're all proud of it!

Now nerd is normal.

Even so, it doesn't necessarily make you a nerd.

A.N.N. is right! My comment was from Revenge of the nerd!

NNNNNERRRRRDDDDDSSSSSS!!!!!!

Love thoses 80s movies... Pretty in Pink, 16 candles... Evil Dead...

Quick comment, me, well, I was the jock and the nerd mixed into one(L).
High school was somewhat fun for me sometimes.. Teachers (many) hated me, being the smart ass I am and being sooo smart and talented at the same time (L)....

Try to guess wich class that teachers hated me the most...

Art class, of course!

I love the IRONY in this, because I teached art classes (well, cartooning and animation) for 8 years! Go figure!
