Hi all!

My first post here....

For those who don't know, I am the director of "Eve".

Thankyou to those who have ordered a copy. Having had a quick look around here, I will venture to say that you are going to LOVE "Eve" as it deals with exactly the stuff you like

Not only that, but I am a fan myself and plan on making more films in the same genre. "Eve" is part one of a trilogy of short robot films dealing with the interactions of man and machine in the near future. Part two, entitled "Birth", will delve into the moment AI is born and its effect on the person that witnesses it. It'll be shorter (around five minutes!) but pack quite an emotional punch as well as many more special effects. While "Birth" is chronologically set before "Eve", part three will be a direct prequel to "Eve" and star the same lead actress, Tara Clark. The ending of part three will lead directly into "Eve", thus bringing the trilogy full circle.

My plan is to use the three shorts to gain funding for a feature length version dealing with robot humanoids in society and the ethical issues it will raise. It will be unflinching and explicit in dealing with the sexuality of robotics as well as the concepts of robotic emotion and its repercussions for both species.

For me, I am a HUGE fan of Japanese animation, especially the scifi stuff dealing with robots, so there are a lot of influences in my work from such classics as "Ghost In The Shell" and "Chobits", among others.

To those of you who have already ordered the movie, I hope you will enjoy it. I'll be here to answer your questions and make any comments, so feel free to ask away! Don't forget to provide a rating and review on IMDB if you like it (or if you don't, though I suspect I needn't worry in that regard).

Robotman, I just read your dislikes thread.... you are going to LOVE "Eve"!!

Incidentally, having checked out your sig link, here's a little anecdote you'll like:

When I was pitching "Eve" I figured I'd finish it off by shocking people a bit as to how close fembots could potentially be, by showing some images of a couple of RealDolls in various states of undress. Needless to say the audience were pretty taken aback, but it sure left an impression!

Edit 1: I've added a link to this forum on my website, so people who may arrive there from other sites looking for more robot fetish information will be able to visit here as well.

Edit 2: Oops, I mistook Fembot-Fem's post for yours. It's late here in Oz. You'll still love it don't worry, but Eve is petite rather than voluptuous.

The short film "Human" was mentioned a while back. Just thought I'd bring it up again, since it seems to fit with Eve. Here's the link.....

I just downloaded "Human" and watched it, so I guess I can give some sort of comparison (and put my neck on the chopping block for when the reviews of "Eve" begin to come in!).

"Eve" is quite different in tone to "Human". Of course they are different stories, but "Eve" concentrates on the emotion of a robot rather than issues of freedom.

Where "Human" makes the robot strong and independent, "Eve" gives her vulnerability and sadness, but a quiet dignity as well. "Eve" is a love story, whereas "Human" is a story about a slave regaining her freedom.

I think you will feel something for Eve (and the other robots in the story), where I personally didn't feel much for the robot in "Human", though I understood her motivation.

Bottom line? If you like "Human" you will definitely like "Eve", though for different reasons.

My only reason for mentioning Human is because it's another independent short film about a female robot. I didn't mean to imply they'd be similar in any other way.
