Just found this article today. This may or may not be something to keep our eyes on when it hits the air.

Well, to paraphrase a line from said by Kyle Reese in the first Terminator movie...

"The 600s had rubber skin, we spotted them easy..."

so here's hoping.. having said that, how often to producers, etc look back at the predecessors (Alien: Resurrection anyone? In fact, don't even get me started on that one...)

Bugger it, a little hope's better than no hope at all.

The only one I really liked was the T-X, just because on top of having a cute exterior, she had some kickass weaponry. However, Terminators arent the sorts of robots that have pannels or seams or the like, as that makes them easier to spot amongst humans.

Most likely (and hopefuly) the series will probably take place during the Human-Machine conflict in the 2020's.

Never mind, I saw the article.

More than likely, the story probably won't even feature Terminators. By the end of T-2, Sarah Connor is a Wanted Fugitive, so it is possible that in all likely hood, it will be Federal Agents or some sort of government agency. I mean, a woman who strikes against two Department of Defense-funded instlations typicaly gets put in the 'Wanted Terrorist' book.

Here's hoping they can actualy pull it off... :?

Sounds plausible, but most of the likely fans for the series want to see KILLER CYBORGS FROM THE FUTURE, which is the whole point of the story. If they don't cough up the goods with cyborgs, then it's just another action show and will die a quick death as disappointed fans stop watching.

So, I'm willing to bet that there'll be robot action. The entire plot is flexible due to the time-travel element, plotlines from the movies don't have to be rigorously followed.
Heck, maybe the "federal AGENTS" (nod to the Matrix) will secretly (to our heroes) be cyborgs from the future, not civil servants from Washington DC.

On the other hand, I'd bet that doing the whole War Against the Machines would just be too expensive to produce, and Sarah Connor wasn't even a part of that, being dead and all.

Best hope, Sarah or John Connor get a female "good" Terminator on their side as a permanent cast member.

At the end of T-2, which took place in 92, Sarah Connor was on the run. There is a five-year gap between Sarah's death in 97 and maybe a two or three year gap between her being diagnosed with Lukemia. (Yeah, I was a bit of a fan some time ago)

HOWEVER

There is a very good chance that they might end up Retconing T-3 out of existance, meaning that everything I said above is null and void, and would make the most sense considering that leaves the table pretty much open and free of limit as far as story ideas and contunation limitations.

And as far as impersonations? Only the liquid metal ones were capable of that, and those are complicated to produce and manufacture and logicaly (although logic, as aparent to many of us as this is, is not often used in this sort of thing) would only be sent under the most dire of circumstances...

Who knows, there may be Killer Cyborgs or just regular old G-Men, or a combination of both or neither and just going into killer Dolphin-Men or something...

Nah... it will be the typical desert action series, with a lot of gunfight, federal agents, maybe scenes of cyberdine developments.... but forget the future terminators.

That would be pretty easy to do. Every time someone sneezes the future changes, so altering the movie 'future' should be fairly simple and easy to explain.

It's certain possible to retcon or just out and out not recognize what T3 did - I remember the Highlander TV series, which completely ignores the fact that Connor MacLeod is the only immortal left. In fact, the main character wasn't even Connor, it was Duncan MacLeod (who was born about one hundred years after Connor became immortal).
