Maybe there will be a way in which kids who have imaginary playmates can build bots resembling them.
Will they be temporary and deliberately designed to wear out, sort of like when your childhood dog gets old and dies when you're in your teens?
Will they change with the individual and be a permanent companion?
A lot of stories are possible....
