Minor Gynoid find

Post by Dollmaker » Mon Dec 12, 2005 1:19 pm

Browsing through Google for a former website I had lost, I came across this little gem.

http://www.closetmonster.net/tech/masktech2.html

The site seems to be about masking, but shows some creation process pics on an animatronic doll - even a shot with her back open - sort of.

Thanks for posting this.
I have to admit to loving the idea of a specially designed silicone love doll design suit, and naturally of course to wearing it. However as stated the big problem would be the breathability of such a suit. Full body enclosure in a suit like that could only be achieved for a very few hours, even with liquid intake being possible for the lucky person inside the suit. And of course designing a suit with a built in ventilation system would take away the doll affect in all likelihood. I suspect in years to come there will be a silcon developed that gets round this problem, (probably stronger but thinner) but not I guess in the near future. The thinner suit would be OK for an actual doll, but of course for human 'insertion' (I mean someone inside the suit) the suit still needs to be thick enough to take away the human factor.
The photogenic doll is very cute, and I can see no reason why 'sizing it up' to a human size shouldnt be possible. Still doesnt get round the lack of permeability of such a suit for the person inside it though!
Doesnt mean I wouldnt love to try out the concept for a few hours, longer if it possibly could be achieved!
I'm just a 'girl' who wants to become a fembot whats wrong with that?

Breathability is BULLCRAP of the first order with oak leaves and diamonds.

Human skin does not breathe, that's a scientific fact. The only real danger is overheating, but unless you decide to run a marathon thorugh death valley, it's unlikely to happen.

Comfort is the main limit to how long you can wear such a suit. If it's too tight it might start to disrupt circulation and you'll fell very bad after a while, especially if you sit still for ages.

Otherwise, there are no known indications against wearing such a suit.

About silicone strength ... Such a suit might not withstand much wear and tear. It's fairly sturdy, but stuff like joints that bend a lot will start to split and rip apart. Tearing is a problem observed with Realdolls.

For those who are interested, Natori also makes a series of photogenic masks and breasts.

Thanks for that info Rotwang, I openly admit to only going by what was stated on the website.
I suppose if you want the 'true doll' look then it has to be pretty tight as you wouldnt want any human showing through! I have to admit I did wonder how resilient those love dolls were 'in action', seems they arent yet perfect on that front.
Again the actual love dolls presumably dont need as much flex in the joints as a human would, so it is indeed reasonable to assume that the joints on such a design would have to be made slightly stronger. I guess if you were happy to stay stationary (like a doll would) while wearing the suit this might be slightly less of a problem. That might be OK for a while, but to achieve a more fembot style image then movement would be needed.
Found the masks which I adore, but way beyond my budget! Failed to find the breasts but guess thats less vital.

A couple of years ago the Realdoll makers got swamped by mails from the female maskers who all dreamed of hyperrealistic suits. They didn't want to be bothered and put up a faq stating that it was impossible to wear a silicone suit since it doesn't breathe. Some people also remember the quote from James Bond about gold paint clogging up your pores and killing you, which is untrue.

Ever since it's been gospel to some people, but the fact is that Silicone suits and prosthetics have been used in movies and nobody complained they didn't breathe. In fact they are far more comfortable than conventional latex. ('Decoys' if I'm not mistaken).

Silicone doesn't have a very high tensile strength. Realdolls don't tear apart easily, but it can happen. I've seen a photogenic chest with a large tear in it. You can fix it with proper glue, but proper care and attention should avoid you such problems.

Some suits are done on the bodycast of a performer standing with limbs at a neutral angle halfway between fully stretched or retracted, that way it can last longer.

The cheapest way to get a dollsuit is to convert one of those upmarket latex sex dolls as per the links below.

I just received a female mask in the mail a few days ago. It's a very lightweight latex/foam rubber compositon and is quite comfortable -- once you get over the smell.

I tried it on and found it quite restrictive at first (tiny eye holes and nose holes) - it's a whole-head mask - but today I test ran it for about 15 minutes without getting too uncomfortable. It just takes some getting used to.

The Cindy mask is my personal favourite.
