Hello folks,
Which issues of Heavy Metal magazines contain gynoids? I have no luck searching for the right ones. Any help, please?

issue
I have this issue that has robot content....I remembered it was a story about a male android who was fascinated by this faerie doll that was deactivated...as the story went on, the android managed to rescue the doll from some humans. Good Story...sad as some of the robots were destroyed by human gunfire.

Just a quick tip here: it is possible to get fresh reprints of virtually any previously published issue of Heavy Metal Mag, unlike most other regularly published media. However, the price per copy tends to be expensive because the publisher loses a lot of economies of scale running off just one copy of any issue.
Screw the price. I suppose keeping old stuff from going to seed doesn't come cheap.

It would be great if anyone here who knows more about Heavy Metal (I've never actually read one!) could put together a little "best of" list of recommended back issues. The list could include best covers (which I imagine would be available on the internet somewhere) or even best stories / content inside the mag.handle wrote:Just a quick tip here: it is possible to get fresh reprints of virtually any previously published issue of Heavy Metal Mag, unlike most other regularly published media. (Magnus, what you've put together is an awesome start, don't get me wrong ... I just wasn't sure if that list was your personal favorites as a reader of the magazine, or if you had done the equivalent of Googling the site you linked to.)

This is a reply for Keraptis
The Heavy Metal website i only knew about in the last month or two while i was searching for the remaining issues with the story Starstruck. I had purchased the first 3 parts of this story years ago because my favourite artist had a story running in these same issues. I found the Starstruck story completely by accident.
I was at a store looking for the other issues when i learned about this website. Some of the issues with robot covers i had also acquired years ago. The only ones the website helped me find were issues from November 1980, July 1981, Spring 1988 & November 2004. The stories called Robots, Sen Lubin from Ernst & Only Connect : Lifestyles i had actually removed from the magazines & due to discovering the website i was able to track down these issues again.
Other than looking at links to robot cover artwork on these magazines there is no method i know of to locate which stories have or don't have fembots. All of the issues on the list i own so i can say for certain that these contain fembots. I do not have the entire Heavy Metal collection. The only reason i ever started purchasing them is because Berni Wrightson ( Swamp Thing creator ) illustrated several back covers & stories.
This list only represents the fembot issues found by chance encounter. There must be a lot more issues with robots in them but i haven't found them yet. The website is worth mentioning but it won't help tell you which stories have robots. It still comes down to finding them the old fashioned way.
