Hi, my name is Stewart, Stewart O'Conner. Yes, I am the cop who stopped a combat boomer bare-handed. Too bad I got both legs ripped out while doing that miracle. Anyway, this is my first day at ADPI and things are looking good. I have just met my new boss, Shita Konta, a real shithead of a prick, but he does have some real experience on the force. Not your typical desk jockey who weighs more than a small truck. I heard that he actually ask to have me in his group. I guess that he was impressed with my past experience with boomers. My new comrades in arms are not many: the boss, his boomer secretary Anny (who gives me the Heebeejeebees), Akiko Kou (the poor sucker who does all the paper work) and my new partner, Momika Yumee.

The Department is composed of one giant room with a few desks, attached to the room is a small bathroom. My desk sits right beside the only window. I'm glad about that, I just love looking at the sky. This view sometimes depresses me a bit because you'll see Genom Tower over-shadowing almost everything. Sitting in my new chair, watching the blue sky, I realized how lucky I am to be alive.

"Excuse me, but the boss wants us to go arrest a certain Mr. Kaino before 9:00 a.m.." Momika says to me, waking me up from my daydreaming.
"This early? I didn't drink my coffee yet!" I reply looking directly at her chest.

"Right now!" she says bitterly, realizing what I was starring at. I got up, grabbed my coat and gun and blushed.

"I am sorry if I starred, I'm not used to working sexy women." I said calmly.

Nodding with a smile, she grabbed the keys to the department's only car. Watching Momika, I realised that she reminded me of my dead fiance. They both had the same smile, their lips were shaped the same. I decided to glance into the file of "Mr Kaino" while Momika started the car. It contained just his address and his picture.

"Why are we arresting this old man? " I asked.

"Bosses' orders." she said while turning the steering wheel lightly. I was confused, I guess it will take some time to get used to this job.

"What happened to your old partner?" I asked Momika.

"What do you mean?" looking a bit confused by my question.

"I was told that I was replacing your old partner who got killed." Momika starred directly in front of her, and said nothing.

"Sorry, I guess it's none of my business." I replied angrily to myself.

"No, it's ok!" answered Momika. "It's... I just can't remember a thing. I guess they erased my memory about him.".

"Erased?" I asked nervously.

"Yes, you see, I'm a boomer, a prototype built especially for helping police investagators." she said sounding disappointed at herself.

"A boomer? An android?" I blurred.

"Yes. I'm property of the Department. Don't worry, I'm not built like most boomers. The chances of me malfunctionning and going awoll are almost impossible." she said with a smile.

I wished she would stop showing that smile. It keeps giving me flashbacks of Aline.

"Are there more secrets about my new department that I should know?"

"Well... apart that I think Akyko is gay and trying to hide it, no." she said laughing lightly.

Aaarrrgggggghhh!!! She laughts just like Aline used to!!!

"What's wrong?" she asked realizing my distress.

"I.. it's not your fault, but you remind me of my dead fiance.. She was killed by a boomer two years ago." I said trying to keep thoses memories locked in the back of my mind. Looking at me with puppy eyes, she put her soft hand on my cheek saying that she was sorry about Aline. I was astonished with what she did. An A.I. was giving me compassion and showing grief.

"Should I be thanking your A.I. or your programmer?"

"I was programmed to feel but I learned it all by myself, thank you!" she snapped bitterly at my remark.

"We should concertrate on arresting Mr. Kaino." I said looking at her pale angry face.


We arrived to Mr Kaino's apartment. It's was an old and dirty building. With guns in hands, we walked up some stairs and saw his door was opened.

"Mr Kaino, are you in there? This is A. D. P. I., please come out with your arms up!" I screamed out.

I waited for a second and signaled my partner to cover me while I looked inside the apartement. The second I peered inside, I saw Mr. Kaino fire a gun directly for my head. I was suddenly pushed out of the way by my partner. She was hit directly in the chest. The force of the impact was so strong, she smashed threw the door that was facing the apartment. I shoot a few shots in the room with out really aiming. I heard Mr. Kaino screaming like crazy

"NO! YOU WON'T GET ME! I KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO ALL OUR OLD PARTNERS! I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!!"

"What are you talking about?" I screamed at him.

"YOU FUCKER! YOU WON'T GET ME TOO! I RATHER DIE BY MY OWN HANDS!!!!!" he continued to yell.

Before I got the chance to do anything else, I heard a shot coming from his gun. Then, silence apart from his body slumping on the floor. I turned around to check on my partner who saved my life.

"Rrrrr..r...damaggge... syyssteemmm.... dddammagge..." she kept repeating, her eyes wide opened.

I looked at her wound. Her chest was full of damaged circuits and cables, sparks coming out. I walked to the body of Mr Kaino. His gun, it was a anti-boomer gun. Powerful enough to cut a man in two.

"Why would he carry such a rare gun?" I questioned myself. Even most AD-policemen don't carry such a powerful gun. I went to the car and called backup and the boss.
"DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SHE COST!" screamed my boss in my face. "FIRST DAY WITH US AND SHE GETS BLASTED!"

"Will she be ok?" I asked him. He looked at me steamed and nodded yes. I left his desk and sat on my chair looking outside my window.

"NO! YOU WON'T GET ME! I KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO ALL OUR OLD PARTNERS! I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!!" kept ringing in my head. I smelled something wrong with this. I got up and left to see how was my partner doing. I entered a lab and saw a old scientist repairing her. She was lying in a table, naked but sheets covering breasts and pelvis, her stomach all opened. Her eyes were closed, she look like she was simply sleeping.

"Yes?" asked the old man.

"I am her new partner, will she be ok soon? I need to ask her a few questions." I asked him.

"Yes, I can even reactivate her right now, the damage was mostly to her motoring circuits.".

He pressed a red button inside her opened stomach and her eyes light up. She blinked and turned her neck to look at me.

"How do you feel?" I asked her.

"Like shit. I hate you seeing me like this. Why?" she asked me back.

"Because I wanted to thank you for saving my life and taking that hit for me." I told her smiling. "Also, I need info, do you know anything about Mr. Kaino and maybe his old friends?" I asked her while looking around the room.

"Well, I do what I am programmed for, you know. Saving human lives." She smirked. "About Mr. Kaino... all info about him have been deleted from my CPU. Sorry." she said while staring at the ceiling.

The old scientist told me he had to go for a small break and left me alone with Momika.

"Can you feel anything, I mean, like pain?" I asked Momika while sitting beside her on the table.

"Not really.. Since I am artificial, I have no sense of what is pain... or love.." she said with a hint of sadness. I looked at her in the eyes, she looked real to me.

"Momika..." I whispered to her softly, moving my head close to her and I kissed her deep. She closed her eyes and kissed me back. My hands went under the sheet covering her breasts and squeezed them hard, feeling her nipples getting erect.

"I.. I must go!! Sorry... please forgive me!" I told her quickly, removing my hands from the sheets. She smiled and told me I had nothing to feel sorry for, and then, she thank's me for the touches I just gave her.



I left the room full of mixed emotions. "She is a machine, not your dead fiancé!" I kept telling myself. I went back to my desk and started to dig for info and Mr. Kaino. I also asked my boss why we were sent to see Mr. Kaino. He screamed at me more, telling me it was not business and I should do my job with out any questions. He seemed to take this very personally, I wondered why. I left my office and went to see my old buddies at Adpolice. After chitchat, I asked some of my old friends if they dig up some info about Mr. Kaino and my boss. They told me no problem and I headed out.

Before I got to the main exit door, an Red-haired girl stopped me. Her name was Renee, very cute young girl. She whispered inside my ear that my personal files have been tampered with. I thanked her for the info and went my home for some rest. After a few hours of sleeping, I went back to my office. With all the lights off, everyone was gone for home. I entered the room and locked the door behind me. I sat in the darkness at my desk and booted up my com. After a few minutes, I felt I was being starred at. I got up, grabbed my gun and walked around the office. I heard a small humming sound coming from a big cabinet. I pulled the door opened and aimed my gun inside. In it, sitting silently on two chairs, was Anny, my boss's secretary and Momika. They were offline, recharging their batteries. I looked at them both and sat on the desk facing the cabinet. I slowly started to close the cabinet when Anny's hand reached out and grabbed my throat. I panicked and started to fire my gun inside her stomach. I felt her fingers squeezing tighter and tighter, chocking me to death. I manage to break out of her hold with my arms. I ran behind the desk and saw Anny walking slowly toward's me. I aimed my gun for her head and blasted her away. Anny's head exploded in contact of my bullets. Her body seized moving, her arms still up trying to grabbed me again. I ran to Momika and tried to wake her up. After a few minutes of trying to find her main panel, I gave up and put her on my shoulders like a marionette and left the room.

At my place, lying in my bed naked, was Momika. I was trying to pry open her main panel with a screw driver.

"Errr........ "pop!" There you go!" I told myself. I manage to rip out her main stomach panel and reactivated her. She blinked and sat up.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME??? YOU RIPPED OUT MY PANEL!" she screamed at me.

"It's the only way I could! Anyway, I am in trouble, I need you help!" I told her. She grabbed my bed sheets and covered herself
"Did you rapped me?" she asked angrily.

"No! No! I didn't even touched you!" I told her now angrily.

"Fine, I believe you!" She puffed out and sat beside me and my com. "What do you want me to do?" she asked.

"I want you to link with central-command and download all restricted files and our boss, me and Mr. Kaino." I asked her staring at her female shape. She agreed and connected the com with a cable to her CPU in her opened stomach. She closed her eyes and started to talked in binary codes. After a few minutes, she opened her eyes and said she had completed the task.

"It seemed our boss and Mr. Kaino were old police partners, and 6 old policemen from the same old unit, were all killed in the last few weeks by a boomer. The boomer was never found and no one was charged with the crime. It seems also your father was part of the same unit. Also, my old partner was the son of one of the police officers that was killed. Only you and the boss are still alive that have any links to this."

"Link to what?" I asked myself. I sat on my bed and wondered what my father had done in the past. He was simple traffic cop. Nothing special. Before I sat up, Momika lied beside me naked. I looked at her a bit surprised. She was beautiful. She looked at me and smiled

"Since the time you kissed, I can't stop thinking about you.".

"Oh really.." I smiled her back.

In the morning, I woke up, finding myself alone. Momika had left when I was asleep. I took a quick shower and got dressed for work. Arriving from work, I remembered Annie being destroyed in the office. I peered inside and saw everything was all cleaned up. I walked inside and saw my boss talking to Momika. He saw me and walk up quickly to me.

"Do you know what happened last night?" He asked me angrily. Before I answered, Momika spoked

"Akiko ran way with Anny!" She smiled.

"What?" I questioned.

"Yes, that little faggot ran off, stealing Anny with him, he left for Canada last night, in secret." my boss said while breaking pencils with his fingers, leaving for the bathroom.

"What did I miss?" I asked Momika.

"Don't worry, I told Akiko what we discovered and we fabricated that story, so, he can dig for clues in secret." she told me while kissing me on the check.
"And... thank you for last night." she smiled.

The rest of the day pasted quickly. Before I left at night, I saw Momika sitting in the chair in the big cabinet, connecting the recharge cable to her systems, inside her uniform. She then closed her eyes and went offline. The boss closed the cabinet and locked it with a big lock. He left in a hurry and was happy not to see his ugly face again. My phone rang and I answered. It was Akiko, he had info for me. He asked me to meet him in 2 hours.

Arriving to the location Akiko asked a few minutes early, I wondered in what mess I was in. Suddenly, I heard a scream. I ran and I saw something that will haunt me for the rest of my life. Akiko was being thorned in half by a boomer in a drench coat. I toke out my gun and fired at it. The boomer dodged my shots and ran up the street. Luckily for me, I have cyborg legs, and I managed to catch up to it quickly. I ran it in the back and it crashed to the ground. It tried to get up, but I fired at it more in the back until it was non-functioning.

I looked back at what was the remains of Akiko. He died quickly, but painfully. I kicked the boomer that was lying on the ground to turn it over so I can see it's face. To my horror, the boomer was Momika. She lied there, eyes opened, her hands full of blood. I kneeled beside her and closed her eyes.
"Someone reprogrammed you to be a killing machine in secret, and I know who the fucker it is." .



"KNOCK! KNOCK!" was heard loudly coming from the door. Shita Konta opened the door slowly.

"Ahhh... Momika! I hope you did your job well, tonight? My little boomer!" he laughed out. He turned around to let her in "Now, only Stewart O'Conner needs to be silenced now. Please get naked and get in my bed, my robot doll."

Suddenly, the man realized there was someone else in the room, behind Momika. He turned around and saw me, holding Momika like a ragged doll, throwing her on the floor. Pointing my gun to him, I asked him why.

"Mmm... Stewart... it's a complicated story, my boy..." he smiled to me. I shot him in the right leg.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!! Ok! Ok, I'll tell you!" he screamed in agony. "When I was a rooky cop, me and my unit, we were all broke, the government slashing up our salaries, we were desperate. One day, we made a big bust. The crooks had hundreds of illegal boomers for sale on the black market. Instead of reporting it, we decided to kill the crooks, and sell the boomers yourself. We made tons of money out of it. In the last few years, those boomers, they were defective, became crazy, killing the people that bought them. Also, when your father learned your fiance was killed by one of the boomers he had sold illegally , he came to me and our old friends and tried to convinced us to tell what we did to the Adpolice. I killed him that day. I reprogrammed my new Police Boomer, Momika in secret, to kill anyone that was link to this. I am surprise d your father never told you this." the man told me.

I looked at him, pointing my gun to him. "I should kill you... but I wont." I told him. He smiled and relaxed a bit "Thank you...".
"I won't... but Momika will!" I told him, holding Momika's left hand holding her gun pointing at him. I squeezed her finger on the trigger and left out a shot. "BANG!" was loudly heard inside the house. I dropped Momika's arm on the ground and kissed her on the lips. She remained motionless, blank look in her face.

"I'll get you repaired, don't worry." I smiled at her while living the room.
