Aeon FLux was a collection of cartoon shorts on MTV's Liquid Television. The basic premise was of a killer android sent to destroy the main government. A perfect assassin. Now it is being done live action with Charlize Theron as Aeon. Check out the production pictures here.

Well she may not be robotic though.
In the beginning Aeon was very stiff and robotic like and died constantly. Next episode another one would come and get a little further. It was assumed that she was either a robot or a DNA sequenced being that was created only for killing. During the second season they changed it and made her seem human. SO it's anyones guess as to what she is. However, yes Theron is going to be a dominatrix styled killing machine. Don't know how ruthless they will make her, but it should be good sci-fi. It's done by Peter Chung (Animatrix Matriculated).

not to be pessimistic but...
...She doesn't look remotedly like the original (when I read the name of the post, I set my expectations real high) I'm kinda dissapointed with the picks.

It's not over til' I'm done.

The first and original 12 episode Aeon was when she was robotic. After that MTV pumped money into the show and came up with a series in 95. That one was what most people remember. She was reinvented to please the network. After seeing the pics with no hair curls and a body suit that looks ready for heavy treadmill walking I think she has been reinvented again for the PG-13 crowd. It's a shame really. I agree she looks far from the original and whats up with the orthopedic wedges? Assassins need good walking shoes these days I guess. I have seen better costumes on cosplay sites.
