My list, worst to not quite as bad...

1. Number Six (I'm ready for my close-up!)
2. Baltar (Me, me, me. It's all about me!)
3. Apollo (My daddy makes me do bad things. Boo hoo!)
4. President Roslyn (I know I'm right, but I'll just smile for now)

Starbuck came off a little harsh but I think over time she'll be the most interesting character.

I voted Apollo for the same reason as Noid... Number Six doesn't get my vote, mainly for her looks (yeah yeah, guilty pleasure) and the fact that her performance was destined to be flat... how many models in lead roles haven't sunk to mediocrity?

I haven't seen enough of any of them to have an opinion. Very few TV shows manage good characters in their first few episodes... it takes time to develop them, and for the actors to get comfortable in the roles.

Ask this again in three months or a year (assuming the show survives that long) and I bet the answers will be different.

Personally I think I'm going to like Six, even if she is a robot in name only. She's definitely nice to look at, and there's something, maybe, going on there. If the writers have a clue.

I'm real tempted to write me an alternative Baltar/Six story, though, assuming a slightly smarter Baltar... (yes, I know they *say* he's ultra-smart, but he doesn't act it).

I cannot get into the new series.

I am sure it is better than the original on many levels,
but I every time I watch it, I keep thinking, That's not right
it's supposed to be this way.

Number 6 is the most annoying character, because she isn't a
chips and wires gynoid! Boomer, in all versions, is the second
most annoying character, for us, for the same reason.
No sparks, no twitches, no panels.
THAT IS ANNOYING!

Aside from that, the series is great, the only thing
more surprising than how good it is, is the surprise
or just plain disbelief in hearing people who prefer the old series.

I've a feeling, though...it'll be one of those that'll grow on you.

Anyone remember Star Trek, The Next Generation, when it first came out?

Anyone (regrettably) remember Star Trek, Voyager, when that abomination came out?

Anyone remember when 'Enterprise' first debuted?

They were all compared to the original, but, as time went on, the shows got better and better (though I can't say that about Voyager...VOY was a farce from the get-go, and spiralled down into the black hole of stupidity)

I've noticed 'Enterprise' finally has 'Star Trek' tagged onto it's title in a desperate attempt to hold onto it's slim ratings.

But I digress...

BSG, in all honesty, is NOTHING like the original. It's not about the Cylons or the Cylon human-looking wannabees...it's about humanity's fight to survive against an incredibly merciless enemy.

I, for one, like the new BSG...with the added bonus that Boomer and Six are just teasing us until they'll be revealed.

Oooo...can't wait for that

Having actually watched the new two episodes (I'd seen the mini) I'd like to change my vote to 'more hot wings please' tho' it may not be reflected in the above count

#6 may be a bit flat, in performance that is, but I think it works for her. Other than that, it's hard to say who's the least likeable... Too early for me to say much other than I like the show overall, so far.

I'm no great fan of the original series, but after the mini my curiosity was piqued. Now that they've run the first couple episodes I'm seeing some real potential.

As for annoying characters; during the mini I'd have said Tigh with Starbuck real close behind, but now it's Starbuck all the way.

Look, I have no problem with female characters, as a matter of fact I usually like them better, but why didn't they just create someone new instead of trying to make a female Starbuck? Starbuck (affably played by Dirk Benedict) was a rogue who was still likable with his cigar smoking, constant gambling and to a lesser degree womanizing and self-centeredness. What kind of asinine PC slave thought that stuff would now be acceptable if done by a woman? If anything, any character she succeeds in developing is overshadowed by these grotesquely butch pursuits.

That's how I sees it.

If the show is successful and lasts a couple of seasons, there's no doubt they will tone that character down. Right now she's a cartoon.

Looking back at the first season or two of a show that really takes off (for example Star Trek: The Next Generation), the characters are almost unrecognizable. For whatever reason, very few shows find their stride right out of the starting gate.

I have to admit, I'd be VERY happy to say "By your command" to either
Grace Park (Boomer) or Tricia Helfer (Number Six)....Or perhaps
watch Katee Sakhoff (Starbuck) say it....mmmmm.
