That is really cool stuff.
I love the level of photographic detail he went to, but I wish there was more detail about what she can do. It would seem obvious (?) that she has few moving parts and none that can be controlled by the CPU ... equally obvious (?) that she has no eye movement or sensory input capability ... and also obvious (?) that she doesn't have a moving mouth and probably no speech synthesis. So what does all that computer equipment actually DO, anyway?
Or is the whole idea that it's just a PC that looks like a girl and you have to hook her up to a keyboard and monitor just the same as my Dell?
Whatever the case, it's still cool that there are people thinking along these lines.

definitely someone had too much free time

Nah I don't think so, although I find it discourging that you'd have such an opinion revealed here at Fembot Central.

I see it as just one man's creative vision of the fusion of technology and the feminine. Good thing that many there in Japan don't seem to have such a "weirded out" view on such things.

I recall seeing this being posted here sometime back, as well, and yes, it was the blonde kneeling girl.
If someone was extremely talented (and had A LOT of free time on their hands) then one could turn out a PC case similar to this...though I think I'd just sink a couple hundred into a mannequin and modify that.

Certainly better looking than the current selection of liquid cooled cases I see at Fry's!

Uhm... actually it's not a robot it's just a computer case, only really good looking. On the page it says that the keyboard is wireless, and the monitor is plugged i think on the wire that is wrapped on her arm, but that looks a lot like a parallel cable, so probably has some plugs on the back for the monitor. let me check the site again... uhm... yep... it's that cable there, it's not the parallel port, it's the video cable... and the wireless connection for mouse & keyboard is inside the little face on her belly.

Sorry...can't recall the URL. I'd bet a Google Search might yield results, unless someone else here knows where the 'kneeling blonde' PC is?

Now I'll admit that after all his hard work on his computerized statue was complete it looked cool; but once it was built then what do you do with it?
Unit is ready to serve.

Been looking for a cheap used mannequin, or one someone would like to donate to the cause of my converting one to a Sorayama Gynoid-type PC case. Doesn't even have to be a fleshtone as long as the sculpt is realistic enough. But being completely broke, I haven't the resources. *Shrug* If i get the chance, i'll do one someday. That and a Chobits one for my pal Hepzibah.

Geez, Rose, you can grab a few dozen on eBay for less that $100...
Okay, so I'm exaggerating just a tad...you can get at least one for under $200 ($300 incl. shipping). They wouldn't be too hard to adapt to make a computer work inside the body...you'd just have to find the proper shielding so the RF doesn't mess with the phones and TVs. Aluminum works good...not foil, mind you, but even that would work in a pinch.
Plus, it helps to know a bit about fiberglassing...
