http://www.1234.be

Lisa is the robot behind the voice of this new telephone system in Belgium. I understand that during the presentation of the system there was a live model, will dig it up for reference.

Absolutely fascinating,I only wish my 'school standard' French of 30 years ago was better stored in my 'programming' so that I could translate it comfortably. As for the Dutch (Flemish?),sadly not a word in my vocabulary, its a bad fault of we English I cant deny,I only wish Linguaphone programmes were programmable directly into my mind at times like this!
Thanks Rotwang
I'm just a 'girl' who wants to become a fembot whats wrong with that?

Actually, its Flemish. This language comes from the combination of German, Dutch and French which makes sence when you consider the history of Belgium. Depending on were in Belgium you come from will depend on which language you basically speak. For instance, if you come from the South of Belgium (near the French boarder you will speak with a heavy influence on French), If you come from the North (near the Dutch boarder) your language will be based on Dutch ect...
There is also two types of Flemish, common and higher (the higher is basically a bastardisation of French)
Hope this clears this up for people.

Sure, but you'll never see a site marked "Vlaams/Frans" --> Flemish/French, it would almost always be marked "Nederlands/Frans"--> "Duch/French" Unless of course the webmaster is a militant from the Vlaams Blok or a rabid Flamingant.

Flemish is used to described the various Dutch dialects spoken in Flanders.
