Andromeda - Saturday August 28th
...on WGN at 1pm eastern is a repeat of an Andromeda episode, A Symmatry of Imperfection. In it, the android Andromeda is cutoff from the A.I. ship Andromeda system, and at the end of the episode, the only way to restore the ship in time before the bad guys show up, is for the android to wipe her memory and personality. The part you would be interested in is right near the end, when the captain and engineer encounter the android. "Rommie" acts VERY robotic and emotionless with some stiff walking as well. Sorry for the last minute report, thought you'd want to know.

WGN is a so called 'SUPERSTATION" here in the USA.... WGN is a local broadcast station in the CHICAGO ILLINOIS area, but also broadcasts it's signal through satelite to reach cable stations nationwide.....other stations like this are ATLANTA's WTBS, and NEW YORK's WWOR .....they sometimes have to 'BLACK OUT' cross programming (if the same stuff is airing on the other stations at the same time) due to FCC regulations....but other than that, the stations are basically there for travelers who want a taste of HOME when they are elsewhere in these big UNITED STATES. -----THE SUPERSTATIONS also serve as one of the only entertainment options for folks in remote areas that can't get a regular television signal.......so, MABEL AND ZEKE OZARK can watch that URKEL kid whilst huntin' for squirrel. -- minkwheel
