Annoying Japanese Pop Group Makes Annoying/Cute Robot Video

Post by andoroido » Sat May 01, 2004 12:43 pm

The hyper-cute (and annoying) J-pop group Mini-moni
(part of the mega-girl-group Morning Musume)
has a new song called "Lucky! Cha Cha Cha!"
(you can guess how bad they are from the title)

Anyway, the video for the song features themselves as both
factory-robots and the people who control them.
Below is a link (remove the **NO** and **SPIDERS**, add the ht in front)
to a file of a broadcast of the video, but it only seems to be maybe the first half of the video..

tp://media**NO**force-gp01.ath.cx/2gmaria/uplo**SPIDERS**ader/source/file0102.avi

Enjoy, if you can...

What format is this video in? I couldn't play it for quicktime, or Windows media player...

I assume you are downloading it and not try to play the URL through the player (I don't know if that makes a difference)

I played it with WMP, I assume you just need to update your codecs
(I just spent 2 hours wrrestling with codecs to get something else to play)
updated my divx, xvid, 3vid, ogg, ogm, and disabled mmswitch.
Maybe one of those things let me also view this file.

During that 2 hours of FUN, I also found a tip to use a cool codec
detector program called GSpot, which tells you if you have the right
codecs for a file, and which codecs are being used. It says I'm using
3ivx for this file

No difference, Andoroido...though I've just recently updated WMP

I'll try it the way you suggested

I tried to download, but it says "file not found", I suppose the server has reached its bandwidth limit :(
If someone could post it or find another URL, would be very appreciated

I did. The clip I have is the first 1 minute 15 sec of the video, so I'm not sure if I got it from the same place or not. It's very odd in my opinion............. and yet fascinating.

I'd be happy to try to upload it somewhere but it may not work as I'm on a dial-up and it is a 26 meg file. Let me know how you wanna handle it.
