Post by Rotwang » Tue Aug 17, 2004 5:23 am

Just saw Three of a Kind 's video "Babycakes" Doll women, making cakes with robotic moves. They malfunction and start a food fight.

Awesome find Rotwang!

Yet more proof that the robot fetish is everywhere. Music video is becoming the best place to find sexy robots ... I suppose it's the one format where self-indulgent fantasy is one of the primary accepted uses of the art form. (Much harder to get a TV show or feature film made like that, unless we're talking about porn.)

Hopefully the entertainment industry is finding that sexy robots sell records ... and hopefully they'll find more excuses to include fantasy-type characters and scenes like these in TV and film.

I liked the video. The song was different than what I would normally listen.

Ahhhhh... fembots.... hehe. Fortunately, I couldn't get any audio ;), but I just wanted to say that I agree that this is a good sign that fembots might become a little more mainstream in a good way. I don't know who COULDN'T be turned on by this or the Basement Jaxx video!

I've downloaded almost every video reported here (including this) by using NetTransport, which is a tool that 'simulates' what a streaming media player should do (like windows mms protocol and real rtsp protocol), but instead of playing the video this gadget creates a copy of the file on your hard drive.
Download it here:
http://www.xi-soft.com/
If anyone's interested, I posted a tutorial on how to download streamed video files in the off topic forum. check it out.

My god that was great! There needs to be more of THAT in the world. The song sucked, so I just muted it....although kinda catchy.

Nice vid...but I prefer watching it with the sound off. Mindless pop music gets on my nerves!

As Artie "German Soldier" Johnson once said:

"Verrrrrrrrry interrrrrresting...but SCHTOOPID!"

(the music...not the video...I did what Sara did and killed the sound, otherwise I'd have to undergo years of therapy to get the lyrics out of my head, then even more years of therapy to deal with it...)

:P

That gets a "Dude!" award, anyway...

Nevermind I found it... Very very good! I watched the video twice before I turned the sound on. I thought that the music went well with the video. Mainly the chorus and her repeating the words, kind of a monotone....tone. It's not "Plug it In" but very well done. I'll say it again, it's sad that a four minute video is better to me than most two hour sci-fi special effects bonanzas. Oh well. Me and wifey give it two thumbs up.

Baby cakes! Baby cakes!

This song is Great!

I turn off the viewer and only listen to the song 19 times already(kidding!)

Great find!

I also notice more people in the music are into this kind of stuff.

Brian Adams, Bjork, etc...

Cool!

Just wanted to post a thank-you to Rotwang for finding this bit of strumpet and also to post a thank-you to Araenae for going to the trouble of posting that rather exhaustive tutorial on defeating the stream.

That would be a reference to one dim-witted Peter Fonda in "Futureworld".

I'll take those points in USD if you please. :D

BZZT!

Oh, I'm sorry...that's incorrect. Thanks for playing, though...Stepford Mary has your parting gift for you.

(I'll be honest, I never thought of "Futureworld" when I posted that...the movie I'm thinking of was never in theaters...)

So, now the jackpot grows to 2000 points, with the first clue:

Animals hate 'em

The movie you are referring to is "Anialator" (don't think I spelled it right)

Great Find!

Post by Bonita772 » Fri Aug 20, 2004 12:45 pm

:D This was a great find! Great startup sequence of the girls in the video...they must have been turned off for their maintenance period, of course these cute little things probably need some TLC:). I'd like to have one of those models around the house!
