Keep your eye out for reruns of this UPN show.
While surfing, I caught a glimpse of a Jenny McCarthy on this show doing her an impression of a robot. It's complete with speech and arm movements.
She's part of a sportscast. She says, "In 1984, you rushed for 2105 yards. Somebody oil me." Then she slumps over.
She's making fun of her partner, so it's not meant to sound feminine.

Re: One on One
Okay, thees is pretty vague so I'm guessing that you are working for UPN. All I'm knowing is that it was Monday so I will have to look up what episode thees was. At least I can tell you that the episode where the guy's nads were in danger on Reno 911 had the slutty cop doing the robot when they are looking at the new bomb removal unit. Thanks for the head's up, though.Sega-boy wrote:Keep your eye out for reruns of this UPN show.

(Didn't see the entire show so I didn't understand the context)

On the contrary, the show is called "One on One," and at this time I'll add the name of this particular episode is He's not Heavy, He's my half-brother. Hope that helps anyone interested.Triumph wrote:

Chances are that it's in syndication- I don't watch UPN.

By complete coincidence, I saw that last night just hours after reading your post ... actually everybody in the scene was doing the robot there for a few seconds.Triumph wrote:At least I can tell you that the episode where the guy's nads were in danger on Reno 911 had the slutty cop doing the robot when they are looking at the new bomb removal unit.
I still don't think anyone has done it better than Molly Shannon in "Superstar" ... though the brief dancing scenes in "American Beauty" and "The Princess Bride" are decent runners-up.
Somebody ought to compile a list, as "doing the robot" is almost like a sub-topic in itself. There are lots and lots of examples, unfortunately only some of which involve attractive women.
