I was actually hoping for a comedy about robots because it's a genre more open for all that silly stuff which turn me one like malfunctions, disassembly... I hope I was right.

Yes, I think that good "serious" films and series on the subjects of robots and AI are becoming increasingly rare. It's not easy to reproduce an "Ex Machina" every day!
On the other hand, treating these subjects with the comedy style can be more interesting and rich. This allows more freedom because it avoids criticism on credibility, the depth of the scenarios etc. In addition, visual effects and acting can be more varied and free.
Anyway, that's my point of view and what I try to do in my photo/video works ^^
I finally expect more to see Robots than Simulant for example. Robots could bring much more real interest!

It's a shame because the film and the story had potential! But once again, the special effects are non-existent (even a few inexpensive basic effects could have enriched the subject of the film). The movie was marketed as provocative and fun, but it's not very deep in the end. The stakes are very low, the existence of robots in this futuristic world is barely noticeable, and there isn't even a surprising twist. I'm a little disappointed. Next.
