It's such a disastrous film that I don't know why it was remade.
The female android comes out very little at the end.
But it was also very disappointing.

Found an interesting short film, the actress Ella Fab, does a great job of presenting the 'uncanny valley' concept;

The robot is from the earth, and the guy is the descendant of the captain. The robot needs the guy's DNA permission to gain full control of the ship and drain the core of the planet to fly back to earth. The guy doesn't agree so they fight.

This show is mostly about a male robot, but fortunately there are some occasional fembots too. There is a nice malfunction in the opening scene…
